2026 Construction Safety Week is in the books! This morning, we wrapped up the week with an impactful in-person and livestreamed message from Flea Speaks, who shared powerful insight on the importance of not only physical safety, but also mental and emotional wellness both on and off the jobsite. Construction Safety Week is an important reminder that looking out for one another goes far beyond the work itself. It’s about building a culture where teamwork, accountability, and wellness are prioritized every single day. We’re incredibly thankful for every member of our team across Nebraska. Your commitment to safety, supporting one another, and getting the job done the right way is what keeps us moving forward. And lastly, a huge thank you to the Lincoln Pro Baseball - Saltdogs and Haymarket Park staff for being outstanding hosts as we closed out Construction Safety Week at one of the best venues around! Safety starts well before the first piece of equipment hits the ground and carries through every phase of the work. It takes a full team effort to keep it that way. Thanks to our employees for looking out for one another and holding the standard day in and day out, and thanks to our Safety Team for the time, training, and commitment they put into keeping everyone informed, prepared, and safe. Stay tuned for Construction Safety Week updates and events!

Project Spotlight: Malone Community Center The Malone Center renovation is nearing completion, marking an exciting new chapter for a space that has long served as a cornerstone of the Lincoln community. It’s always rewarding to be part of projects where the end result goes beyond the structure itself by supporting programs, connections, and opportunities within the community. "Construction began in 2024 for the new 54,000 square foot, three story community center. It will provide a welcoming gathering place for youth with after school homework space, STEM learning classrooms, an open and daylight filled lounge, and a game room. The new gymnasium will serve the athletic programs with locker rooms and space for athletes, coaches, and officials while also providing rental space for the community. Dedicated program office suites that include offices, conference rooms, and support space will allow client services to be delivered in a comfortable and safe environment..." • In celebration of National Volunteer Week, a group from NEBCO employees had the opportunity to support the Friendship Home of Lincoln during their annual Stuff the Bus donation drive. After a successful weekend of collecting essential items, our team helped “un-stuff” the buses by sorting and organizing donations at their service center. These contributions will directly support survivors of domestic violence by providing everyday essentials like hygiene products, clothing, and household items. We’re grateful to play a small part in helping Friendship Home continue their important work in our community. Stay tuned for more volunteer efforts throughout the week! 💙
