As we wrap up National Police Week, we want to extend our sincere appreciation to the law enforcement and public safety professionals who serve our communities every day. On the new Clyde Malone Community Center, safety was built into the project through planning, communication, accountability, field leadership, and the daily commitment of every person who stepped onto the jobsite. A strong safety record does not happen by chance. It reflects our team’s focus, our subcontractors’ professionalism, and a shared belief that every worker deserves to go home safely at the end of the day. From daily coordination to hazard awareness and jobsite communication, safety remained a priority from start to finish. Thank you to our Sampson Construction project team, field leaders, and trade partners for helping complete this important community project with more than 124,000 safe hours and zero injuries. A new chapter opened yesterday for the Malone Community Center! Our team proudly joined the ribbon cutting for the new Malone Community Center in Lincoln, NE, celebrating a milestone that reflects decades of service, vision, and commitment to the community. The new three-story, 54,000 SF facility was built to support connection, learning, wellness, and opportunity for years to come. With spaces including a full-size gymnasium, commercial kitchen, classrooms, offices, a STEM center, makerspaces, study and collaboration areas, and a maternal wellness center, this building represents far more than construction. It represents a lasting investment in youth, families, and the broader community. At our Southside Terrace project, progress goes beyond construction, it’s about community impact. This redevelopment includes the demolition of 16 existing buildings and the ground-up construction of 20 new buildings, bringing 113 much-needed residential housing units to the area. In partnership with the Omaha Fire Department, our team is providing space at Southside Terrace for hands-on recruit training. Utilizing the existing structures, firefighters are gaining real-world experience through roof-cutting demonstrations and tactical exercises. It’s a strong example of how collaboration can strengthen both our communities and those who serve them.

Safety is a shared commitment that begins well before construction starts and carries through every phase of the project. That mindset was evident as our team, alongside Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Omaha Area Office, came together to formally sign the partnership agreement at the 300,000 SF Sandhills Global Headquarters project, reinforcing a unified focus on ensuring every person on site goes home safe each day. This partnership reflects how we operate. Through open communication, strong coordination, and a culture of accountability across all teams, we create an environment where safety is shared by everyone. Last week, we officially broke ground on Phase 3 of Southside Terrace, marking another exciting step forward in bringing this community vision to life. This phase will add 113 new mixed-income housing units across 20 buildings on the 10-acre site, continuing the transformation of the neighborhood. The Home Builders Association of Lincoln, NE's Construction Career Day brought together high school students from across Lincoln for a day of hands-on learning this week! Students jumped right in, building washer toss games from start to finish. Students even had the opportunity to take their projects home, something they can be proud of. Hands-on moments like this make construction careers feel real and show students the skills, creativity, and opportunities that exist in the trades.

A new chapter is underway for the Edward Jones Kearney office, and we’re proud to be part of the journey. This week marked the groundbreaking of their future home, beginning with a blessing of the land. The vision is to develop an energy-efficient, collaborative financial services office that fosters partnerships and innovation - positioned to become Kearney’s first LEED-certified building. This project not only provides an optimal solution for serving Kearney and the surrounding community but also sets a powerful example for other Edward Jones offices nationwide to emulate.
