Saw some recent data that was talking about what people die from in different countries. Worldwide, in 2023, 2% died of infectious diseases, like measles. Why so low? Because vaccines work. Makes it easy to overlook them. The curse of effective public health initiatives. Today, we need to fight misinformation about ALL vaccines. Proud of Princeton10, LLP's work for Unity Consortium. We can do this, together.

Yesterday, our Care Coordinator, Dr Oluwaseun Odunaiya, shared valuable insights on the topic "Prevention is Power: Why Vaccines Matter.” During the conversation on Ultima FM (885_ufm), he spoke about vaccines suitable for both children and adults, while also addressing common myths and the facts surrounding vaccination. Here is a quick recap of how it went. #AvonHMO #HealthyLiving #PreventiveHealthcare

During World Immunization Week, we are reminded that vaccines are not just medical tools they are pillars of public health. Through the Expanded Programme on Immunization, Pakistan continues working to ensure that every child receives life-saving vaccines. However, reaching underserved populations, addressing misinformation, and improving routine immunization coverage remain critical priorities. From a public health lens, immunization is not only about disease prevention it is about equity, trust, and strengthening health systems for the future. #WorldImmunizationWeek #PublicHealth #Immunization #Pakistan #VaccinesWork

Research from the Canadian Sentinel Practitioner Surveillance Network finds that seasonal COVID-19 vaccination for the 2025/26 respiratory virus season reduced the risk of illness severe enough to require a medical visit by half, within about nine weeks after vaccination. The study shows that immunization is especially meaningful for people at higher risk of experiencing a severe COVID-19 infection.
Our new issue presents interim #VaccineEffectiveness results from Canada: The #COVID19 #vaccine for the 2025/26 season almost halved the risk of COVID-19-related illness at about 9 weeks after vaccination, with protection beyond the target strain of the vaccine Check the full issue 👉 https://bit.ly/EUS3118 #VaccinesWork #PublicHealth

FluMist Program Update Since 1 April, NSW pharmacists have administered over 3,000 FluMist vaccines to eligible children at no cost. Additional doses remain available under the program until the cap of 8,000 doses is reached. Pharmacists are reminded that offsite vaccination is permitted under the NSW Vaccination Standards (Section D) provided there is adequate infrastructure with compliant cold chain management. For more information on offsite coolers, please refer to: Strive for 5 Chapter 8. https://bit.ly/3R3U3oU #GuildNSW #pharmacyguildnswbranch #FluMist #childrensimmunisation #NSWHealth

💡 New in JAMA: In 2025, more than half of states took action to strengthen or maintain access to COVID-19 vaccines, while a quarter took steps that weakened it, and some did both. As federal guidance shifted, states stepped in - often expanding pharmacist authority to vaccinate - but the growing patchwork of state policies may increasingly impact who gets vaccinated. Reading this article on PhilHealth being urged to prioritize free vaccines over case rates made me reflect deeply. Preventive healthcare is not just about children—it must extend to adults as well. Too often, adult vaccination is overlooked, yet it plays a critical role in reducing hospitalizations, protecting vulnerable populations, and ensuring workforce productivity. Offering free vaccines would be a powerful step forward. But equally important is raising awareness and accessibility for adult immunization. Adults in remote areas, workers exposed to health risks, and those with chronic conditions deserve the same protection. Prevention should not stop at childhood—it should be a lifelong commitment. If we want a healthier, more resilient Philippines, we need to invest in adult vaccination programs now. The long-term savings in healthcare costs and the lives protected will far outweigh the initial investment. #Vaccineswork #PreventiveHealthcare #VaccinationAccess #RAISECoalition #PFV https://lnkd.in/gxjuzfVU https://lnkd.in/guS-qCic

It’s good news when vaccines achieve high rates of uptake, but headline statistics don’t tell the full story. When 80% of a city is vaccinated, the outcome looks good. But who represents the other 20%, and why are they being missed? Together with our partner ATLAS CLARITY LLC for World Immunisation Week, we've been looking at what London and San Francisco can teach us about reaching the people most likely to be left behind. Find out what the data reveals and what's actually working in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/exuqmcg7. #WorldImmunisationWeek

What happens when public health, community and political leaders align behind access? San Francisco is often held up as a vaccination success story - having ‘some of the highest sustained vaccination rates nationally’. But factoring in equity is a vital concern for all such programmes. Read more in our latest blog co-authored with our US based, fantastic partners ATLAS CLARITY LLC

It was an absolute pleasure to work with ATLAS CLARITY LLC on this joint blog on the need to tailor immunisation programmes to reach the most marginalised. The work that ATLAS CLARITY LLC are doing on this in San Francisco is an inspiration.
