Reliable cooling starts with collaboration. A CDU (coolant distribution unit) is a critical part of modern data centres. Building reliable CDUs takes deep collaboration, shared innovation, and a clear focus on reducing energy use while ensuring cooling performs where it matters most.

Technology alone does not make a building smart–it’s also the people, planning, and operational alignment. #Smartbuildings require collaboration, which is one of the many reasons I was so excited to join industry peers in conversation for the #WIA and #ASHB webinar, “Bridging the Gap: Advancing Smarter Buildings Through Seamless Connectivity”. It was great to share and discuss real-world examples showcasing ways in which smart technologies improve daily operations from using trend reports and analytics to identify energy waste to integrating building systems to respond faster during critical events. One thing is very clear: smart buildings have the ability to greatly improve operational efficiency while enhancing tenant satisfaction. Often the challenge for organizations is how to get these projects started. In our discussion, we covered the value in starting with small projects that create measurable results, involving facilities and IT teams early in the process, and working with trusted system integrators and technology partners. At Siemens, we are proud to be a technology partner that can help organizations invest in smart buildings that will deliver long-term value. If you’re curious about how to take the first step, reach out and learn more today and be sure to check out our webinar here: https://lnkd.in/gdMp2AjQ

Intelligent infrastructure is no longer a future ambition. It is the new baseline. As operational complexity increases across utilities and infrastructure, reactive models are reaching their limits. Intelligence is what allows organisations to anticipate, adapt, and operate with intent, not just visibility. In our latest blog, nxzen’s Group CEO, Simon Reid, breaks down what intelligent infrastructure really means, why digitisation alone isn’t enough, and how leading operators are shifting from managing events to shaping outcomes. 👇

In a world of increasing complexity and decarbonization, staying "digitized" isn't enough. We need assets that are active, self-optimizing participants in our success. Stop data fatigue and be proactive More details in the article below.

A really insightful perspective from Simon on how intelligent infrastructure is reshaping operational delivery. The shift is no longer just about digitisation or data visibility, it’s about enabling organisations to make smarter, faster, and more proactive decisions across increasingly complex environments. Well worth a read for anyone involved in infrastructure, utilities, operations, or digital transformation.

How to Achieve 100Gbps Over Existing Multimode Fibre Without Rip-and-Replace For years, network upgrades have followed the same expensive pattern: Need more bandwidth? - Replace the fibre. But in many environments, that approach creates major cost, disruption, and downtime. What if the existing multimode fibre infrastructure could support significantly higher performance without full replacement? Using technology from Cailabs, it is now possible to achieve speeds of up to 100Gbps over existing multimode fibre infrastructure — avoiding large-scale rip-and-replace projects. For data centres and high-performance networks, this creates a very different upgrade path: Reduced infrastructure cost Less operational disruption Faster deployment Better use of existing assets As demand continues to grow from AI, storage, and high-density compute environments, organisations are under pressure to increase capacity while controlling infrastructure spend. The conversation is no longer simply about installing more fibre. It is increasingly about making better use of the infrastructure already in place. At Comtrol UK, we are working with organisations exploring practical ways to improve network performance without unnecessary infrastructure replacement. For anyone currently evaluating fibre upgrades, it may be worth reassessing what your existing multimode infrastructure is truly capable of before committing to a full rebuild. Head over to our website www.comtrol.co.uk and let's talk!
