CIRCULAR REPUBLIC’s Post

🔋🌍 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡‑𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝. Yet extraction and processing are concentrated in just a few countries, shifting power balances, creating dependencies – and making Europe vulnerable. ⚠️ Supply bottlenecks, export bans and a lack of domestic capacity show how quickly economic plans can be derailed. Securing access to critical raw materials is becoming a key strategic task for Europe. 👉 The Handelsblatt 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 in Düsseldorf brings together leaders like Bernd Schäfer, CEO EIT RawMaterials, Dr. Erik Eschen, CEO VACUUMSCHMELZE, David Christian Bender, GM Heraeus Remloy, Peter Buchholz, Dr. ; Leiter Deutsche Rohstoffagentur (DERA) and many others from industry, policy, science and finance to explore how Germany and Europe can strengthen raw material security – with strategies that work beyond political announcements and targets. At the conference we will look at new regulation, exploration and processing technologies, as well as recycling, urban mining and circular business models. What counts is what is economically viable, geopolitically robust and aligned with environmental standards. 📍 Handelsblatt Conference Critical Raw Materials 2026 🗓️ 27–28 May 2026, Düsseldorf Conference language: German ✨ As a “Network Partner” of the conference, we are organizing and leading a panel on “𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲”.⁣ ⁣𝐎𝐧 𝟐𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟏:𝟏𝟓, the discussion moderated by our colleague Julia Pantel will dive into a concrete industry use case – speaking about recycling, refurbishment and upgrading of technology products and components. 📌 Key topics of the conference in focus: 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲  – new production and sourcing strategies in automotive, energy, chemicals and electronics 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 – circular frontrunners in recycling, substitution and closed-loop processes 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 & 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – regulation, EU strategies and international partnerships 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 & 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 – targeted funding for mining, recycling and material technologies 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞  – what Europe can learn from countries that have reduced dependencies More information 👉 see the link below in the comments.
