Cloud Architect

Take2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Platform Systems Engineer – Architect to support mission-critical initiatives focused on space defense, space domain awareness, and advanced data services. This role combines enterprise architecture expertise with hands-on cloud and hybrid cloud engineering to design, optimize, and modernize secure, scalable, and resilient platform environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, hybrid cloud strategies, enterprise integration, automation, and infrastructure optimization within secure government environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern cloud and hybrid cloud platform architectures aligned with mission objectives and future scalability requirements
• Assess and document current-state cloud/hybrid cloud environments, including dependencies, workflows, interfaces, and infrastructure components
• Manage and optimize the overall technical baseline across applications, environments, and platform services
• Develop architectural roadmaps and as-is/to-be solution designs aligned with enterprise goals and modernization strategies
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, resiliency, observability, efficiency, and security across enterprise environments
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and technical roadmaps
• Support development and deployment teams by ensuring solutions meet compliance standards, security requirements, and industry best practices
• Drive automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), continuous optimization, and cloud service enhancements
• Monitor and optimize platform and cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve platform capabilities and innovation initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or higher)
• Strong experience with Azure cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments
• Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native technologies
• Experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise systems integrating cloud and on-premises environments
• Expertise with Kubernetes, containers, and serverless computing technologies
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems integration, and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, and enterprise integration frameworks
• Active Cloud Solutions Architect Expert certification required
• Azure certification strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM, or Information Technology
• Experience supporting mission-critical DoD or space-focused programs
• Familiarity with highly secure cloud environments and enterprise modernization initiatives
