Recently. MANTECH’s Jason Hastings, Senior Technical Director, participated in the Vanderbilt University Institute of National Security’s Asness Summit on Modern Conflict and Emerging Threats. During his panel, “Asymmetric Air Power: Drones and the Democratization of the Air Domain,” Jason addressed the scalability challenge in drone production. Drone technology progresses so quickly that both traditional procurement timelines and training timelines for human operators of emerging technology are often insufficient. Special thanks to retired Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, the Institute's founding director, for his vision that helped create a venue for these valuable discussions that are helping drive national security policy.
