McKinsey recently highlighted AI fluency as a capability organisations can no longer ignore. The bigger question: what happens when AI, skills shortages and workforce expectations converge? That’s the conversation we’ll be exploring next Wednesday in Sydney at Guidant Global’s Next Workforce Era event, focused on helping HR, procurement and workforce leaders build strategies fit for what comes next. Registrations close today. If you’re an HR or procurement leader looking to workshop these challenges with peers, reserve your place now. As AI transforms the workplace, most skills won’t disappear—but the way people apply them will evolve alongside intelligent machines. New analysis, from the McKinsey Global Institute , based on 18 million job postings across Europe, shows that demand is shifting toward workers who can combine existing expertise with AI capabilities. The fastest-growing skill? AI fluency. https://lnkd.in/ec5NQicC

  • That's CWS Summit Europe 2026 done. One thing came through louder than anything else on our stand: the question leaders are asking has changed. Not "how many people do we need?" but "what outcome are we buying, and how do we know it was delivered effectively?" Headcount is quietly stepping back as the primary metric. Services procurement, and outcome-based engagements are stepping forward. The organisations moving fastest aren't the ones hiring differently. They're the ones approaching work differently. That's the shift Guidant is built for. Less about the numbers of workers. More about the work itself: scope, quality, compliance, delivery, and outcome. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat to our team for the honest conversations!

  • Day one at CWS Summit Europe was fantastic, the team had some brilliant conversations and connected with so many people across the industry. And now, onto day two. The conversations are still going strong as we continue connecting with workforce leaders, sharing ideas, and exploring what’s next for talent, technology, and strategy. If you’re attending today, come and find us at Booth 5 - we’d love to continue the conversation.

  • Our very own Thomas DeFabrizio - CPA, MBA, CGMA, MSA is at the FEI Leaders Forum in San Antonio and already dropping gems on day two. The “Reaction Tax” is one of those ideas that sticks. The cost a company pays when it finds out about a problem too late. CFOs across industries are wrestling with exactly this as AI reshapes how finance teams work and where the real value sits. Proud to have Thomas representing Impellam Group on a stage like this.

Day two at the FEI | Financial Executives International Leaders Forum in San Antonio. Yesterday I sat down with Heather L. Cole (J.D., CHPC) for the FEI podcast at the conference. We talked about the Reaction Tax. The cost a company pays when it finds out about a problem too late. That idea came up in a practical way across several conversations yesterday. Not as theory. CFOs were describing it in their own businesses without using the term. Finance work is changing. AI is reducing the time it takes to produce reports, analysis, summaries, and models. Digital labor is shifting who and what does the work. That does not make finance less valuable. It changes where the value sits. The value is moving from the deliverable to the outcome. Whether the analysis helped the business make a better pricing decision. Whether it surfaced margin risk earlier. Whether it changed how leadership acted. That shift matters because it changes how CFOs measure their teams and explain the value of finance to the rest of the business. The sessions covered substantive ground. AI, company-wide strategy alignment, M&A, pricing, and the finance operating model. The hallway conversations were where the real exchange happened. CFOs comparing notes on the next 18 months. Where companies are investing. Where they are pulling back. How AI is changing expectations. One more day in San Antonio. The conversations are getting sharper as the conference goes on. More on what I heard later this week. #FEI2026 #CFO #Finance #DigitalLabor FEI Atlanta (Financial Executives International)

  • From the Podcast: What Great Leadership Really Looks Like Great leadership isn’t about titles, authority, or being the loudest voice in the room. It’s about how you show up for people. In this clip, Patricia shares why empathy, integrity, communication, and values-led behaviour are at the heart of truly impactful leadership. “If you don’t have people who show up with empathy and values, you won’t get great leadership.” The best leaders don’t just drive performance - they create environments where people feel respected, supported, and motivated to succeed. 🎧 Watch the clip for a powerful perspective on leadership in today’s workplace: https://lnkd.in/gziw8dtD #Leadership #PeopleLeadership #WorkplaceCulture
