  • Another week, another conference. OHB Sweden AB is heading to the Space Propulsion Conference 2026, in Bari, Italy next week. We managed, of course, to rattle up another dream team going there, Robert de Try, Robin Linde, Marcus Sjöberg and Théotime Lemoine a 🚀🌍. If you’re attending and would like to discuss different forms of propulsion solutions with us, upcoming opportunities, or just look at our gorgeous glass cubes with the different propulsion systems we have built, feel free to stop by the OHB Sweden booth (booth #7) or reach out at spacesales@ohb-sweden.se. Looking forward to connecting! #propulsion #electricpropulsion #spc2026

  • It was great to be at the KTH Space Center ORBIT 2026 career fair the other day with both our morning crew (Jomuel Danilo Costales, Kiana Ghiassi and Marty Gludkowska) and afternoon crew (William Lannhard, Hampus Englund and Alvar Winquist) from OHB Sweden AB! We met many interested space engineering students and we were reminded why KTH Royal Institute of Technology continues to be such an important source of great colleagues for us. We have hired many KTH alumni over the years, and we’re very happy and proud with the work they do. Fairs like ORBIT are very valuable for connecting with future space engineers and we love sharing what working in the space sector really is like. As for our giveaways…, let’s just say we know we can do better 😄! We will improve that area for next ORBIT. Thanks to KTH Space Center and everyone who came by! #KTHspacecenter #KTH #spacefair #careerfair #spacecareers #ohbsweden

  • OHB Sweden AB contribution to the Artemis programme The world is eagerly following the progress of the Artemis II mission around the moon and back. The four crew members are now the human beings that have been the furthest from earth ever. That’s immensely cool! The crew is now in the Orion spacecraft which is transporting the astronauts back to earth. OHB Sweden is a key contributor to the European Service Module (ESM), which is the propulsion, power and life‑support module of Orion, built under European Space Agency - ESA leadership. OHB Sweden built and tested the Propulsion Qualification Model of the Orion service module, and builds propulsion elements for past and future service modules in our cleanroom in Kista, Sweden under contract from Airbus Defence and Space. We now wish the crew a safe journey back, propelled by ESM, and a successful landing on earth! #orion #artemisII #backtothemoon

  • Successful launch of two OHB Sweden built satellites from Vandenberg today Today, two satellites built by OHB Sweden AB were successfully launched from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. It was Mimir-1, developed for Space Norway, and GARAI‑B, built in close cooperation with Satlantis, both represent the latest achievements based on OHB Sweden’s highly versatile InnoSat platform. The InnoSat platform continues to prove itself as a robust, flexible, and cost‑efficient foundation for small satellite missions. Its modular architecture, flight‑proven reliability, and adaptability across Earth observation, scientific, and commercial applications have made it a preferred choice for customers seeking rapid development cycles without compromising mission performance. These two new satellites further strengthen OHB Sweden’s growing track record in delivering high‑quality satellites to the commercial market, reinforcing our position as a trusted partner in Europe’s rapidly expanding space industry. The recent contract for twenty EPS‑STERNA Earth‑observation satellite. also based on the InnoSat platform, demonstrates the continued confidence in our ability to scale production and meet the evolving needs of our customers. We can confirm that contact has been successfully established with both satellites, marking an excellent start to their missions.

OHB Sweden AB celebrates EPS-STERNA contract On March 23 we had the pleasure of receiving the Minister for Upper Secondary School, Higher Education and Research, also responsible for space matters, Lotta Edholm, to our facilities in Kista. Representatives from Rymdstyrelsen talked about their role in making the EPS-STERNA pre-cursor Arctic Weather Satellite a reality. Our partner in this endeavor, Omnisys/AAC Clyde Space were also with us to present facts on the radiometer instrument that does the atmospheric measurements. The national Swedish weather service SMHI was there to tell us about the advantages of the EPS-STERNA constellation and its future impact on improved global weather forecasts. Our customers EUMETSAT and European Space Agency - ESA sent us congratulations to the contract and good wishes for the implementation of it, via live stream and video message. We also made a ceremonial signing of the payload contract between OHB Sweden and AAC Omnisys. This landmark EPS-STERNA contract is a great achievement for OHB Sweden and for Swedish space industry. It's a great opportunity to show case the ability to build satellites on a more industrial scale, in Sweden, by Swedish companies, to the benefit of Sweden, but also to Europe. We are eager to start the the work of building the first six satellites to be delivered by mid 2029 to initiate the constellation, and then two satellites per year until 20 satellites are built. Now the journey begins and we are proud to be leading the efforts towards a successful outcome. Photos by Daniel Ivarsson, except clean room photo.
