Saab introduces Sirius Compact L24R – a powerful new sensor for modern surveillance. Saab has unveiled Sirius Compact L24R, the latest addition to its Sirius Compact R-ESM sensor family, at the AOC EW Europe symposium in Helsinki. Developed for fixed installation on masts or existing infrastructure, the system enables persistent, wide-area surveillance for detecting, tracking, classifying and localizing radar emissions from aerial, maritime and land-based threats. “Sirius Compact L24R is a welcome extension of our tactical R‑ESM portfolio, purpose-built for fixed-site applications and strategic coverage,” says Carl‑Johan Bergholm, Head of Saab’s business area Surveillance. Saab and Scania France signs contract for Giraffe 1X on tactical vehicles for the French Armed Forces. Saab, together with Scania France, has signed a contract with the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) for the supply of 16 tactical vehicles with Giraffe 1X radars, strengthening the air defense capability of the French Armed Forces. Deliveries will take place during 2026 and 2027. The consortium formed by Scania France and Saab will also provide spare parts, training, and the technical support essential to the armed forces.

Celebrating the successful completion of the design phase of the "Delfin" programme, where Saab together with its Polish partners are building in country the two SIGINT vessels for the Polish Navy. On this occasion, Saab and MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting invited companies within the Polish maritime industry, the Gdynia Maritime University and regional representatives from both Gdynia and Karlskrona to NERDS – Naval Evolution of Research & Design Symposium. The event was a full day of inspirational talks and discussions related to the complex nature of designing naval surface vessels. To strengthen the already proven and successful cooperation between Saab Naval and MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting the parties established a Strategic Partnership Agreement. This framework marks another important milestone in the strategic, long-term collaboration between the Polish and Swedish shipbuilding industry.

Over the course of the event, we welcomed customers and partners from across the world to experience a wide range of live demonstrations showcasing our world leading ground combat capabilities, while also creating opportunities to network, exchange experiences and discuss future operational needs. In a rapidly evolving security environment, opportunities like these are more important than ever. Bringing together users, industry and authorities in a realistic setting enables valuable dialogue, deeper understanding and stronger collaboration around the capabilities needed for tomorrow.
