🌟 Event Recap – Startup Stories: Beyond the Hype What an incredible evening! Yesterday at the ZHAW Toni Areal, we gathered with a highly engaged community to explore the real success factors – and the honest stumbling blocks – of applying AI in healthcare. And the turnout was fantastic: a full house, strong interest in the topic, and inspiring energy in the room from start to finish. Here are three key takeaways: 🔹 Real value emerges where AI tackles genuine clinical challenges – not where it simply sounds innovative. 🔹 Failure is part of the journey - many projects don’t fall short because of technology, but because of structural barriers. 🔹 Interdisciplinarity wins - the smartest ideas emerge when research, clinical practice, and entrepreneurship come together. Proud to share a major milestone for FimmCyte! We’ve entered a research collaboration with Gedeon Richter to advance FMC2, our first‑in‑class, non‑hormonal program for endometriosis. This partnership brings together the exceptional development capabilities and global reach of Gedeon Richter with FimmCyte's outstanding science, to bring this therapy to patients as quickly as scientific rigor allows. Endometriosis affects millions of women globally, yet treatment options remain focused on symptoms management, leaving the root cause of the disease unaffected. FMC2 is based on FimmCyte's proprietary antibody platform that aims to directly eliminate the root cause of fibro-inflammatory diseases starting with endometriosis. This partnership strongly validates the science behind our platform and paves the way for our pipeline to tackle the next big unmet need: organ fibrosis. This collaboration would not have been possible without the restless efforts of: FimmCyte's team starting with my co-founder Valentina Vongrad. And the contributions of our amazing team Maureen Cronin, Markus Kalousek, Janine Vetter, and Brigitte Leeners.
