Switzerland ranks 3rd globally for corporate R&D intensity. 🇨🇭 A new EY study looking at the world’s top 500 corporate R&D investors highlights the strength of Switzerland’s innovation-driven economy. 🥉In 2025, the 14 Swiss companies included in the ranking invested an average of 8.4% of their revenue in research and development — placing Switzerland 3rd worldwide, behind the Netherlands and the United States. This result emphasises the importance of long-term investment in innovation, as well as the strength of an environment in which companies, research institutions and public bodies collaborate to transform knowledge into progress. On the occasion of Eureka Network’s 40th anniversary, this success story clearly illustrates the power of international cooperation in innovation. 🌍 Thanks to the framework provided by Eureka and ITEA 4, Barco and its partners developed a virtual reality solution that enables citizens to visualise and comment on urban planning projects before they are implemented.
