Web Summit week. Vancouver. May 13. Diraj Goel is joining Daniel Eberhard (KOHO), Yvette Wu (Yield Exchange Inc.), and Rachel Richardson (Microsoft) on stage at Nexus Night, hosted by Digital Commerce Group at the Black and Blue Rooftop. Paul Twigg is moderating, and you should ask him how you can become a Copilot night user, seriously. Panel topic: AI in Fintech: From Hype Deck to P&L. Translation: how do you actually make money with this stuff, instead of just raising on it. The honest version of the conversation, not the LinkedIn version. Smaller room, sharper crowd, real food. The kind of evening where the conversation goes somewhere instead of dying in a name tag scrum. If you're in town for Web Summit and want the off-floor version of the AI in fintech conversation, come find us. https://lnkd.in/eMA7tsm8 #AI #Fintech #WebSummit #Vancouver #VancouverTech

Partnering With Founders to Grow from Scrappy Startups to Sustainable Scale
About us
At GetFresh Ventures (GFV), we help founders grow smarter, scale stronger, and exit on their terms—without losing control of what they’ve built. Most funding models prioritize investor returns. We prioritize founders. Instead of forcing you into aggressive fundraising cycles, dilution traps, or “grow-or-die” timelines, GFV offers a different path: revenue-first growth, capital-efficient scaling, and founder-aligned exits. We partner with founders who want to build real businesses with real customers, strong margins, and strategic flexibility—not just chase valuations. Who we help: - Founders launching their first GTM strategy and building high-conversion customer acquisition engines. - Growth-stage teams refining their ICP, scaling ops, and optimizing sales and marketing performance. - Leaders breaking through growth plateaus by reframing value creation and unlocking new revenue channels. - Founders preparing for exit who want to maximize valuation, minimize dilution, and stay in control during negotiations. What makes GFV different: - A Growth by Design™ framework rooted in operational discipline, financial clarity, and executional rigor. - Hands-on support from experienced operators who build alongside you—not just advise from the sidelines. - Capital strategy and structuring that protects equity and positions you for founder-friendly exits. - Deep executional focus across go-to-market, org design, financial modeling, and exit readiness. If you're a founder who wants to scale with confidence, grow with intention, and own the outcome - GetFresh Ventures is your partner. Let’s build the future, by design.

Climate tech founders. Listen up. Web Summit is bringing 15,000 global tech leaders to Vancouver in May. The smart ones won't just be on the trade floor. They'll be at ClimateGlobal with ClimateDoor. May 12 at UBC Robson Square. This is the room where Canadian climate ventures meet the international operators, investors, and corporate buyers who actually open doors in Europe, Japan, and Latin America. And vice versa. Half the founders we work with at GFV are stuck on the same problem: their tech is ready for global markets, their go-to-market isn't. This is the room that fixes that. The signature format is the Reverse Pitch Session. Investors and corporates tell the room what they're looking for. Founders listen first, then connect. Revolutionary concept: knowing what someone wants before you pitch them. Two things worth doing: 1. Speaker nominations are still open. Check out the Luma page for more info! 2. Use code SPNR20 for 20% off your ticket. If you're doing climate tech and you're not in this room during Web Summit week, you're letting global capital walk past your company. https://luma.com/3nze18ji #ClimateTech #ClimateGlobal #WebSummit #Vancouver #Founders

Stop pitching VCs. No seriously. Stop. You built a list of "top logos," memorized your deck, practiced the 30-second version, walked into the room, and then watched their eyes glaze over somewhere around slide 4. They said "keep us posted." You left wondering what you did wrong. You did nothing wrong. You were in the wrong hallway. Most founders raising right now are pitching venture capital to investors whose mandate was never going to fund them. It's like waving a steak at a vegan and asking why they're not hungry. The problem isn't the steak. The problem is you brought it to the wrong dinner. Diraj Goel just dropped a cheatsheet on the seven tiers of capital and how to figure out which one your business actually belongs in. Spoiler: most of you are not Tier 6. Some of you are Tier 3 dressed up as Tier 6 because someone on Twitter told you debt was for losers. It isn't. Equity is the most expensive money you will ever take. Do the math. Inside the post: → The four numbers every investor secretly tracks → The SAFeR instrument (the one nobody talks about) → A mismatch matrix for the ways founders bring the wrong pitch to the wrong room → Truth-mirror questions you will not enjoy answering Free preview. Paid if you want the full breakdown. Read it before you take another meeting you were never going to win. #Fundraising #StartupFunding #VentureCapital #FoundersJourney #CapitalStack https://lnkd.in/gqEH4yv5

Early bird tickets for ElevateAI are already gone and last year the event was 2x oversubscribed. That tells you something about the room. On May 5 our CEO Diraj Goel joins Chang Han, Tiffany Scarlett, and Steve Lowry at Northeastern University Vancouver for a focused conversation on what's actually working when AI companies raise right now, plus a live showcase of BC's best AI startups. If you're building and want to get in front of investors, applications for the showcase are open now. And before that, GTM Expansion Part Two with Rob Goehring and Brandon Farr, MBA, BCorp Entrepreneur. is this Friday. Link in the comments. Pitch Rodeo is back. Every year we open up the 15th floor at 777 Hornby for one of Vancouver Startup Week's most registered sessions, and this year is no different. Selected founders get in the hot seat and pitch live. The panel, including our own, Diraj Goel and Matthew Housser, tells them exactly what's working and what isn't. No soft landings. No polite hedging. Just the kind of feedback that actually helps you survive a real investor meeting. The house rules are simple: keep it tight, respect the herd, and no spitting. Whether you're pitching or watching, you'll leave with a clearer picture of what investors actually care about - and what they don't. Tuesday, April 28 | 5:30–7:30pm | 777 Hornby St, 15th Floor, Vancouver VSW pass holders get in free. Everyone else, grab your spot before it's gone. Building locks at 6pm sharp so don't be late. The first session ran long. Really long. Because the conversation was actually good. So Rob Goehring (AInBC & Wisr AI), Brandon Farr, MBA, BCorp Entrepreneur. from Goodfinity, and our very own Diraj Goel are picking up where they left off, beachhead markets, repeatable sales engines, positioning that actually lands with global investors. If you missed Part One or just want more, this is the one. You can also watch the recording here: https://lnkd.in/g7DZfXcA Free. Virtual. One hour. Link in comments!

We are excited to launch 2026 Elevate AI: Road to Web Summit Vancouver! This year’s event is built around a fun, informative format: – A curated investment panel featuring leading investors and operators sharing how AI companies are actually getting funded right now, including Chang Han Steve Lowry, Diraj Goel and Tiffany Scarlett – A live AI startup showcase, highlighting a select group of companies pitching directly to our audience of investors and ecosystem leaders – Structured and open networking designed to drive real conversations and connections We’re also opening applications for the AI Startup Showcase. If you’re building and ready to raise or scale, this is a strong opportunity to get in front of the right audience: https://tally.so/r/2EkbgV Register for your event ticket here: https://luma.com/02gjr496 Spots will move quickly — last year we were 2x oversubscribed.
