🎉Congratulations for a very successful Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2026, a strong showcase of how cross-sector collaboration can accelerate the journey from research to deployment! This vision has always been at the core of our mission at ERTICO - ITS Europe, and our team demonstrated through many engaging dialogues during the final days: 🎙️CEO Joost VANTOMME (LL.M) chaired the session 'Workforce Shifts in Transport Policy', exploring how automation, digitalisation and changing mobility patterns are reshaping skills and labour markets across the transport sector. He also engaged in the side event by iRAP on 'Future Ready Roads for Safe, Sustainable Mobility'. 🚗Dr Stephane Dreher moderated the session 'Pathway to CCAM deployment in the EU', to share expertise into scaling CCAM deployment beyond pilot projects by addressing challenges around regulation, public trust, infrastructure, and integration into existing mobility systems. He also participated in the European Commission's stand session on 'CCAM tech trends & your chance to shape EUCAD 2027' - an official launch of the EC/JRC CCAM Observatory, which is hosted on the CAD Knowledge Base. This session also marked the official announcement of the upcoming EUCAD 2026 Symposium in Geneva, Switzerland and EUCAD 2027 conference in Brussels, Belgium, with Connected Automated Driving in Europe. ✈️Dr Vassilis AGOURIDAS presented during the session “New innovative air services for an integrated European multimodal transport ecosystem”, highlighting how drones and innovative aerial services can support more connected, resilient and sustainable multimodal mobility systems using examples from the IDI Platform. 🏙️John Paddington also presented how the metaCCAZE Project is developing new concepts for business innovation and governance models for European cities. ⚡ePowerMove project was represented by Yancho Todorov (VTT) at the EV4EU Final Session, contributing to the discussion on the future of #V2X through stronger European cluster collaboration. Throughout the final days of the conference, ERTICO’s EU-funded project portfolio continued to contribute through technical sessions, poster presentations, demonstrations and stakeholder workshops focused on accessibility, multimodal mobility, electrification, intelligent infrastructure and traffic management innovation. 👏A sincere thank you to all our colleagues, partners, speakers and project teams contributing to this strong presence in Budapest!
