Do you know a talented young programmer ready to put their skills to the test? 💻 In collaboration with WiseTech Global, Grok Academy runs a structured competition pathway designed to challenge, inspire and uncover the country's most promising young programmers. The WiseTech Global Challenge runs from 18–31 May, and it’s part of a competition pathway designed to find and nurture Australia’s most promising young programmers. From there, students can progress through a structured pathway: • WiseTech Global Advanced Python Competition – dive deeper into advanced concepts over a 5 week period from 27 July to 30 August 2026 • WiseTech Global Programming Competition – a proctored exam with a direct pathway to the WiseTech Global Earn & Learn Program from 14 August 2026 at 5pm AEST to 15 August 2026 at 5pm AEST Top performers in the WiseTech Global Programming Competition have the opportunity to earn prize money, gain recognition, and unlock real-world pathways into the tech industry with a possible place in the 2027 cohort of WiseTech Global’s Earn & Learn Program. Recently, the Grok Academy team had the privilege of taking part in Youth Week, attending two fantastic events across the Blacktown City Council area in NSW - under this year’s theme: Dream. Dare. Do. 🌟 Youth Week is such an important opportunity to connect with young people, celebrate their potential, and support them in exploring pathways for their future. The 2025 Impact Report from Grok Academy gives us an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate reaching 3.8 million learners globally since we began, however, importantly, the report looks beyond reach to focus on impact, which is where the 2025 findings truly stand out. In 2025, Grok Academy reached 323,000 users, with 89% of Australian student users actively engaged. This demonstrates that hands-on programming and problem-solving can scale without losing what matters most, engagement. Today we wrapped up a 3‑day Tech Camp in partnership with the WiseTech Global Education Team for their employees kids. Across three days, students from Years 6–12 explored developing tech skills, built confidence, collaborated with peers, and got hands‑on experience with technologies used in the real world. For many, this was their first exposure to structured programming, for others, a chance to deepen their skills. What stood out most wasn’t just what students learned, but their feedback told us how supported they felt, '...kind mentors, approachable facilitators, and an environment where it was safe to try, fail, ask questions, and keep going'. Thank you to the amazing team that made this happen, Neeron Bhatta, Ryan Fleetwood, Zoe Parr, Chloe W., Charlize Nobes, Natasha Sud, Louise Nobes and the many associate software engineers who volunteered across the days. Congratulations to the 335 participants who took part in the first WiseTech Global Challenge for 2026, proudly developed and delivered via the Grok Academy platform. Of those who competed, an impressive 64% were in senior secondary years (11–12). Seeing such strong participation from Years 11 and 12 reinforces the idea that the next generation of developers, engineers and problem-solvers is already actively engaging with opportunities to learn, compete and innovate in the tech space.
