Today we wrapped up a 3‑day Tech Camp in partnership with the WiseTech Global Education Team for their employees kids. Across three days, students from Years 6–12 explored developing tech skills, built confidence, collaborated with peers, and got hands‑on experience with technologies used in the real world. For many, this was their first exposure to structured programming, for others, a chance to deepen their skills. What stood out most wasn’t just what students learned, but their feedback told us how supported they felt, '...kind mentors, approachable facilitators, and an environment where it was safe to try, fail, ask questions, and keep going'. Thank you to the amazing team that made this happen, Neeron Bhatta, Ryan Fleetwood, Zoe Parr, Chloe W., Charlize Nobes, Natasha Sud, Louise Nobes and the many associate software engineers who volunteered across the days. A very fun and educational three days!
Its important that we support the development of talent and while our world is changing faster then ever before, curious and bright kids will still seek to learn foundational skills and continue to build their super skills with the new tools available to them. Watching both the Education and Grok team come together to provide a beautiful program which is tricky across the age span was magical. Oh and I now know how important food selections are 🤣
