Patriot Software helps solve basic payroll and accounting needs at a more affordable price than some alternatives. The payroll side is useful for running payments, managing employee information, and keeping things organized without needing a more expensive system.
The main benefit is cost savings and access to helpful U.S.-based customer support when issues come up. However, some parts of the accounting software feel clunky, especially bank linking, transaction imports, reporting, and onboarding. When these features do not work smoothly, it creates extra manual work and slows down daily accounting tasks.
Overall, Patriot solves the core payroll needs well, but the accounting side could be more flexible, modern, and easier to use.

I had a quarterly tax filing issue
I had a quarterly tax filing issue. Patriot right away was able to quell my fears. They are working to resolve the issue and are doing so at a very reasonable rate. I am highly satisfied.

Patriot's software and customer service are Amazing! What a difference from dealing with Quickbooks where I was on hold for 45min to an hour and received little assistance.

Impressed with Patriot!
The biggest plus I can give is that when you have questions, they are quickly answered by a friendly voice that you can understand. (This from a guy with hearing aids!)
I'm sure they got tired of taking my calls.
The biggest problem I had was trying to import my 1st quarter payroll that I did in Quickbooks. It was a real struggle. Maybe I should have had a CPA help me.
I love it that they ask for suggestions to make their software more user friendly. I even received emails thanking me for my suggestions.
Even though the learning curve from QB to Patriot was frustrating at times, I highly recommend Patriot!
