Or maybe you’ve received feedback that surprised you, left you questioning yourself, or wondering what others are seeing that you’re not. If so, you’re not alone. Even the most well-intentioned leaders find themselves asking: 🤔 Why aren’t my efforts leading to the outcomes I expected? 🤔 What’s standing between me and the results I know I’m capable of? 🤔 Why does leadership feel harder than I thought it would? Currently Reading a Book: How to Decide by Annie Duke I’m diving into a deeply advanced business leadership book by Annie Duke (author of Thinking in Bets and decision making strategist) . This isn’t just a “nice to read” it’s transformative, especially for those of us who view work more like ownership. Here are some of the ideas that are resonating deeply with me: • Treat the business as your own : always look for improvements, speak up, push for better outcomes, even in small tasks. • Trust your line managers and empower them, even when the task seems “outside your role” sometimes cross-functional help is what moves the business. • Don’t waste energy looking back at critics, doubters, or office “noise.” In every workplace there are detractors those who minimize your initiatives or try to pull you down. The book encourages a mindset: “never look back”, keep your focus forward, stay positive, and let your results speak. • Approach every assignment, big or small, as an opportunity to learn, stretch, and deliver more than expected. One line from the book that really struck me (paraphrasing): “There will always be someone trying to drag you back — keep your eyes on the path ahead, smile, and let your work shine.” I truly believe applying these principles will allow me to contribute more meaningfully and help elevate the teams and business I’m part of. If you’ve read How to Decide (or any book by Annie Duke), I’d love to hear which concepts resonated most for you. Also, shoutout to anyone who has great recommendations for the next-level books on leadership, decision-making, or management always eager to learn more. #AlghanimIndustries #BusinessGrowth #ContinuousLearning #CareerDevelopment #Ownership #Teamwork #ProudToBeAlghanim#Leadership #DecisionMaking #PersonalGrowth #BusinessMindset #ContinuousLearning

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗭 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗫. And no book written in the 90s will teach you how. I had a consulting call this week with a sharp leader in their late 20s. Midway through the conversation, he said: “I’ve read some of the classics. They don’t work for me.” “Feels like they were written in another universe.” I got tense for a moment. Because my library? It’s got 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟳 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘-𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵, 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. These books shaped how I used to think. But I reassured myself quickly. Because next to them? There’s 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲́, 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸. I’ve shifted too. Those older books were written for a world built on control, certainty, speed. Where leadership meant: ✔️ Manage the outcomes ✔️ Control the variables ✔️ Scale fast and efficiently But the world changed. And leadership had to change too. Today, it’s about: ✅ Knowing how people 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 ✅ Understanding what's 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 going on ✅ Making it 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 to say the hard stuff ✅ Catching the tension 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 it explodes But let’s be real. Most leadership books don’t teach you how to 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮. Or how to stop burning people out with your "motivational" slides. Or how to lead without making the team want to mute you. 📚 These 7 books? They won’t make you perfect. But they might make you tolerable. 📲 Swipe the carousel 🔁 Repost if you’re shifting too 💬 Drop your favorite modern leadership book below #leadership #modernleadership #emotionalintelligence #quietleadership #futureofwork #peoplefirst
