Project Engineer – Energy & Industrial Projects

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of engineering projects across energy, power generation, and industrial sectors. This role will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) support for complex systems and equipment packages. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is looking to take on increased responsibility in project execution, coordination, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion
• Coordinate across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, I&C) to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Track project scope, schedule, and deliverables to meet client expectations
• Assist with preparation and review of engineering documents, specifications, and drawings
• Interface with vendors and support procurement activities (RFQs, bid evaluations, technical review)
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and project meetings
• Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities as needed
• Identify and help resolve technical and project-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other ABET-accredited engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Chemical, Civil)
• 2–8 years of engineering experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects
• Experience working in a project-based environment (consulting, EPC, or owner’s side)
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with engineering documentation and standard industry practices
• Assist with engineering documents, specs, and drawing reviews
• Interface with vendors and support procurement activities
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting power generation projects (e.g., gas-fired, combined cycle, simple cycle, or distributed generation)
• Familiarity with turbomachinery systems, packaged equipment, or balance-of-plant systems
• Exposure to oil & gas, midstream, or industrial processing facilities
• Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
