This Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Kill Vehicle (KV) Sr. Program Manager position provides program management and leadership of the NGI KV production scope including the KV final assembly with the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Business Area. The Sr. Program Manager will report to the KV Director of NGI to achieve overall program objectives.

In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:

The Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management to delivery on NGI KV production contract requirements. The PM will be responsible for ensuring successful Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP), Transition To Production (TTP) from the concurrent development phase to Full Rate Production (FRP), ensure production ramp up requirements are planned and executed, and support all KV production proposal requests. The selected candidate will work to enhance coordination and communication between all program functions working closely with Planning, Finance, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Production Operations, and Quality to lead all aspects of the planning and execution of the program and issue resolution. Candidate will drive risk management/leadership process and ensure risk mitigation strategies are implemented.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers, colleagues, teammates and suppliers.

Oversees Implementation of manufacturing approaches and resolution of manufacturing issues at Suppliers and Lockheed Martin facilities which will require frequent travel.

Desired Skills

  • CAM certified
  • Experience with tactical missiles or missile defense systems
  • Familiarity with MDA customer
  • Experience with LM Missiles and Fire Control and LM Space manufacturing processes and tool sets
