The Field Sales Manager,Ulta Account is Juvia's Place's senior field leader for our Ulta Beauty partnership. This role owns sell through, brand presentation, and education across all Ulta doors carrying Juvia's Place leading a national team of Field Sales Coordinators and freelance artists.
You'll partner closely with HQ buying, planning, marketing and serve as the on-the ground voice of our brand at the shelf. The ideal candidate is a hands-on retail beauty operator who can drive numbers, develop people, and elevate how Juvia's Place shows up in every Ulta store across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Ulta Account & Sell-Through Leadership
• Own national sell-through, comp performance, and rank performance for Juvia's Place at Ulta Beauty.
• Build the annual field sales plan for the Ulta channel, by region, door tier, and launch and deliver against monthly and quarterly targets.
• Partner with Sales Leadership and the Ulta HQ team on joint business planning, gondola resets, exclusive launches, and event windows.
• Use Ulta's retailer reporting (and internal data) to identify door-level opportunities and act on them quickly.
Field Team Leadership
Lead, hire, and develop a national team of Field Sales Coordinators covering Juvia's Place's Ulta footprint.
• Set clear KPIs, ride-along expectations, and store-visit cadences; coach the team to elevate selling, artistry, and brand storytelling at the shelf.
• Own freelance budget, scheduling, and ROI by door concentrating hours where they drive the most sell-through.
• Build a values-driven, inclusive culture that reflects Juvia's Place's heritage and our commitment to celebrating every shade of beauty.
In-Store Brand & Education Excellence
• Make sure every Juvia's Place gondola, endcap, and feature wall meets brand standard fully
stocked, beautifully merchandised, and on-message.
• Lead in-store events, masterclasses, and new-launch activations at priority Ulta doors; show up personally for hero markets and key windows.
• Partner with Education to deliver world-class artistry training to Ulta beauty advisors and our freelance team both in-person and virtually.
• Champion our shade range and inclusive storytelling so every guest feels seen at the Juvia's Place shelf.
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Be the field's voice in S&OP, marketing, and merchandising conversations flagging stock issues, launch gaps, and competitive moves quickly.
• Partner with Marketing and Social on store-level activations, influencer drops, and content capture in Ulta doors.
• Build strong relationships with Ulta District Managers, GMs, and Prestige Managers across all regions.
• Manage T&E, freelance, and event budgets with discipline and full transparency.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years in beauty or specialty-retail sales, with 3+ years leading a multi-state field team.
• Direct experience selling into and executing in Ulta Beauty, Sephora, or a comparable national
prestige/mass beauty retailer.
• Demonstrated ownership of sell-through, comp, and rank metrics not just sell-in.
• Track record building and developing field/freelance teams across multiple regions.
• Strong commercial acumen with retailer reporting tools (Ulta retailer reporting, NielsenIQ, Circana, or similar).
• Confident communicator who can move between meetings, store floors, and brand HQ
leadership.
• Ability to travel 60–70% domestically; valid U.S. driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior brand-side experience at a color cosmetics brand sold in Ulta or Sephora.
• Background as a working makeup artist or beauty educator, or strong artistry fluency.
• Experience scaling a fast-growing indie or founder-led beauty brand inside a national retailer.• Deep cultural fluency and authentic connection to communities of color and the inclusive beauty
movement.
How You'll Be Measured (First 12 Months)
• Juvia's Place sell-through, comp, and rank at Ulta Beauty vs. plan.
• Sell-through lift in doors with field/freelance coverage vs. uncovered doors.
• Quality of execution on launches, resets, and events : measured by audits and partner feedback.
• Field team retention, engagement, and bench strength.
• Health of the Ulta partnership measured by HQ relationship, JBP commitments, and visibility wins (gondola, endcap, marketing).
