Our first bakery-cafe opened in 1987, founded with a secret sourdough starter and the belief that the best part of bread is sharing it. That vision led to the invention of the Fast Casual category with Panera at the forefront, centered around our delicious menu of chef-curated recipes that are crafted with care by our team members. We make food that we are proud to serve our own families, from crave-worthy soups, salads and sandwiches to mac & cheese and sweets. Each recipe is filled with ingredients we feel good about and none of those we don't because we are committed to serving our guests food that feels good in the moment and long after. While our company is now more than 2,200 bakery-cafes strong, our values and belief in the lasting power of a great meal remain as strong as ever. Nothing beats breaking bread together.   • We’re on tour – our beverage tour, that is!  This spring, we’re taking the Panera cafe experience on the road, popping up across the U.S. and connecting with our guests – including dusting off our boots to join country music’s hottest party, Stagecoach Festival. Team members from our La Quinta, CA, cafe served our delicious Frescas and energizing Refreshers from a brightly colored Airstream trailer, drawing hundreds of fans, including actor Robbie G.K. from HBO’s hit show Heated Rivalry.   The stop was one of several during a multi-month tour bringing Panera to communities and events nationwide.

    Are you bready for it?? To celebrate the debut of our new Salad Stuffers, we hosted an exclusive launch event in NYC, where familiar faces like Tyler Cameron and cast members from Bravo’s Summer House were first to try our newest menu items. Panera’s bread heritage was the star of the show, with incredible décor crafted from hundreds of loaves baked by Cafe 6309 in Manhattan. Our Culinary team, Scott Uehlein, Trevor Wilson, Nicholas McCrery and Christopher Tessier, served an intimate dinner that told the story of the innovation behind our newest menu items – a reflection of how we're continuing to drive our Panera RISE strategy. #PaneraRISE

    Ahead of this weekend’s film awards, Panera puts the warmth of our bakery-cafes on full display in “Something Great,” a heartfelt spot inspired by the guests who use our cafes as their office, study space or writer’s room.    “Something Great” will air this Sunday.

A special shoutout to our WFF #Changemaker, Nikki Ford, for her inspiring leadership. Our delegation was joined by Panera CEO Paul Carbone and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Brooke Buchanan - who also recently joined the WFF Board of Directors. Their support underscores Panera’s commitment to advancing women in leadership across the foodservice industry.
