Last night at Orangily® i met Benno Nelson from Five Corners Beverage Co. My friend Kristin Marley Patrick the co-founder, invited me and i was impressed These drinks are layered and complex with a beginning, middle, and end - a true cocktail experience 🥁 The Salted Lemonade reminded me of the pataki at Saturday Club in Calcutta. I mean black salt is a game changer. 🍸 The Pickleback is hilarious and brilliant because it feels SO Midwest. 🍹  And the Sangrita? Bad ass. A cultural love story in a can. Loved the philosophy too! bringing together the five tastes and inspiration from the five corners of the world (home being one) Looking forward to getting to know Benno better and exploring the drinks more! Ps ❤️ to Laura Silverman Yes I advocate for founders - it’s what I do - if you’re a founder I’d love to get to know you!

Andee Simpson, PMP and I always knew pregnant people would be a big part of our Orangily customer base. Who we didn’t initially consider—> women taking extra gentle care of their bodies to improve their chances of pregnancy Sometimes I don't know what to say, so I ask if I can give a hug. Sometimes I get to jump with joy about baby news. 💕 Last week was National Infertility Awareness Week. We send our love to anyone facing infertility challenges. graphic credit: @lifespring_womens #InfertilityAwarenessWeek

The best way to introduce someone to ANA beverages might be to not even mention ANA beverages in the first place. I've been thinking about this a lot lately working with ANA brands and retailers. The category puts enormous energy into reaching people who are already curious. The ones already cutting back. Already looking for options. Already following brands on social media. But that's a fraction of the available market. The bigger opportunity is the person who would never walk into an ANA bottle shop on their own. Here's the problem with that consumer. You can't target them with ANA content because they're not consuming it. You can't get them into a bottle shop because they'd never think to go. Traditional marketing hits a wall with this person - not because the products aren't good, but because they're not looking. Kristin Marley Patrick, Co-Founder of Orangily, found a different way in. Not through ANA messaging - but by giving people a completely unrelated reason to walk through the door. A yoga class. A women's health workshop. A speaker series. People who would have said "why would I ever go there, I love to drink" - showing up for something else entirely. And discovering a whole category they didn't know existed. "They're intrigued," Kristin told me. Not converted. Not sold. Intrigued. That's what a genuine first encounter with the ANA category looks like - and it's a model worth understanding. What's the most unexpected way you've seen a brand reach consumers who weren't looking for them? Kristin's full story - and what it means for how the ANA category builds its consumer base - is in the ANBA Insights section on https://anba.org. She's direct. (a compliment!!) She's funny. She's always connecting people. A girlmom and a retired sports mom, Alison Gatz is the owner of Fishers Magazine. She's also over 11 years sober. I consider myself lucky that her office is a short drive from my home. I'm always up for whatever she's planning! Because I know it will be fun, well-organized, and alcohol-free friendly. ☺️ Check out our Q & A with Alison on the Orangily Sparkling AF Blog. Link in comments. #ShesSparklingAF

"We're here to work through, not wallow." This is agreement no. 3 at Work...In Progress. And boy, have folks shown up and lived it. When we gather monthly at Orangily, people bring a very wide range of topics, challenges, and questions. And these are all things that would be easy to just sit in and complain about. But the vibe at Work...In Progress is not about sitting still. It's about forward movement, trying new things, and improving our circumstances. It's about having that tough conversation (not just expecting the problem to go away), raising your hand for that promotion (not just expecting it to be handed to you), asking for what you need (not just being upset that no one is giving it to you). Never before have I seen a group of people, month after month, show up for each other with new ideas, affirmations and encouragement, and gentle pushes to do things differently quite like this. If you need some forward movement in your job and aren't sure where to start, join us for Work...In Progress at 6pm on April 22nd. As always, we'll be at Orangily in South Broad Ripple.
