In today’s highly competitive tourism landscape, NYC cannot afford to lose ground. While competing destinations invest significantly in tourism marketing, our City funding has not meaningfully increased in 20 years. That’s why we are requesting $35 million in FY27. We need your support to help strengthen NYC’s tourism industry and protect one of the City's most powerful economic drivers. Sign our letter to the New York City Council and City Hall by May 26th at the link below. https://lnkd.in/eT-FkiJU As our members and partners, your voices matter. Please sign and share with your staff and colleagues and industry networks. Broad participation across the tourism community is critical and appreciated. #TourismPowersNYC

NYC Tourism + Conventions recently led a joint sales and media mission in Montreal and Toronto, engaging more than 100 media, travel trade and meeting planner clients. Accompanied by a delegation of nine NYC Tourism member businesses, the mission aimed to strengthen tourism ties and showcase New York City’s latest cultural, sports, and hospitality offerings within these key Canadian cities. Canada is NYC's second-largest international market, with nearly 800,000 visitors to the five boroughs last year. Special thanks to our participating members: • Empire State Building Observatory • Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York • Hudson Yards Experiences • Mercer Labs | Museum of Art and Technology • The Museum of Modern Art • New York Yankees • Rockefeller Center • The Westin New York at Times Square • Walker Hotels

Proud to be at the PCMA Visionary Awards yesterday evening — celebrating the best of the business events industry. Events like these remind us what's possible when talented people are passionate about what they do. New York City is home to some of the world's most exceptional #BusinessEvents professionals, and moments like these are a chance to recognize that excellence. Congratulations to all of the honorees. You make our industry shine.

On May 5, we took National Travel and Tourism Week out on the water. 🛳️ As we sailed past Lady Liberty, we raised a glass to the hotels, restaurants, tour operators, venues, museums, transportation providers and every team working behind the scenes. You are the industry. Successful events, programs and campaigns exist because of engaged partners like you. Thank you to our members for joining us — and to City Cruises for being the perfect host on the Hudson. #NTTW2026 #WhatsGoodNYC

Today is Global Meetings Industry Day — and this year it falls right in the heart of National Travel and Tourism Week. A fitting combination. Business events are a cornerstone of New York City’s economic vitality. They bring decision-makers, innovators and industries to our city, and the impact flows to every corner of it — hotels, venues, restaurants, transportation providers and the thousands of professionals who make each event possible. NYC isn’t just a backdrop for the world's most important events. It’s the stage that elevates them. Tonight’s skyline will be lit in blue to celebrate #GMID. Participating buildings include: SUMMIT One Vanderbilt (📷: Courtesy, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt) #OneWorldTradeCenter (📷: The Durst Organization) #OneBryantPark and #OneFiveOne (📷: The Durst Organization) #SvenLIC (📷: The Durst Organization) Javits Center (📷: Courtesy, Javits Center) Empire Outlets NYC (📷: JLL) #Pier17 at #TheSeaport (📷: Courtesy, Seaport Entertainment Group) To our incredible meetings and conventions partners: thank you. Today and every day. #GMID2026 #NTTW2026 #MeetingsIndustry #BusinessEvents #WhatsGoodNYC
