3 Dutch shows you can’t miss at Photoville’s 15th anniversary 📸 NYC’s largest free photo festival hosts three Dutch exhibition this year, supported by Dutch Culture USA. 📷Point of View | Rijksmuseum 📍Brooklyn Bridge Park 10 Dutch students. 1 question: How do you show gender? Their raw, joyful portraits closed out the Rijksmuseum’s 2024 exhibition on gender in art history. 📷Special Girls – A Celebration | Remsen Wolff 📍West Village 100,000 portraits of trans people, drag queens, and cross-dressers shot in NYC + Amsterdam, 1990-1995. Self-confident people, seen with love. 📷Lebensborn | Angeniet Berkers 📍Brooklyn Bridge Park The Nazi program to breed an “Aryan” elite. Angeniet Berkers photographs survivors in their 80s and the chilling artifacts they kept. History you can feel. For 15 years, Photoville has proved that the best gallery is the city itself. This year, Dutch photographers bring us stories that become part of New York’s daily rhythm. While busy with your life, they make you stop and think. And that’s what good art does. Our colleagues of Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United Nations partnered with Rijkmuseum for a special night, bringing art and diplomacy together. Thank you to all our partners, and happy birthday Photoville!

“We are doubling down on this momentum.” Meet the entrepreneurs of the ScaleNL East Coast Cohort. Ignazio Aleo is CEO of Moveshelf, the leading infrastructure for movement analysis. “I believe that measurement technologies and AI-assisted software will fundamentally transform healthcare.” “I founded Moveshelf to improve how clinical teams in hospitals use tech to deliver care for disorders that affect movement. We leverage cameras, wearables, and AI to support orthopedic and rehabilitation departments in making life-changing treatment decisions. Whether it’s a musculoskeletal or a neurological condition, we help medical doctors accurately and efficiently select the best possible treatment for every patient.” “To become the global standard digital platform for specialized care of movement disorders, succeeding in the US is essential. We’ve already seen strong traction with some of the most prestigious American centers, and we are now doubling down on this momentum. For us, the US isn't just a large market; it’s a strategic hub of world-class expertise that will help us scale and shape our solution to become the global leader in the field.” “Joining the program has delivered incredible value across the board. It helped us refine our strategy for our first US hire, so stay tuned for an exciting announcement on this. It also gave us access to a world-class ecosystem curated by ScaleNL and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York over the years. We are confident this will be a solid foundation as we "land" in the US. And it quickly gave us a wealth of perspective on the US market and what it takes to scale a business there." After a 12-week training program, the ScaleNL Accelerator East Coast 2025 brought nine outstanding (deep)tech startups and scale-ups to New York to meet local investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders. The next edition on the West Coast is happening this spring.
