This week, as part of Israel Tech Week in Miami, we launched our Israel Founders Mission. Together with IDB Bank, and alongside our partners Deloitte Catalyst and Greenberg Traurig, LLP, we brought Israeli founders, investors, private investors, family offices, and key ecosystem leaders together for a powerful evening in Miami. The room was full. The energy was real. And the demand was huge. With hundreds of RSVP requests and a long waitlist, our event was featured as one of the leading events of the week in Miami. We could only host part of the community this time, but the response showed us exactly why these missions matter. This was much more than an event. It was a real opportunity for our customers to access the U.S. market, build meaningful relationships, meet the right people, and open new doors. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to our incredible Startup Champions Team, and to the founders who came with global ambition and real energy. Special thanks to Israel Tech Mission (David Nakar & Molly Lukash , David Siegel ) for the amazing partnership, to Mindspace , (Ashley Almonte , Dan Zakai and the team) for hosting us, and to Israel Tech Week (Ayal Stern & Lior Halabi ) for bringing the ecosystem together. This is what we are building at Discount Tech and IDB Tech: A real platform for Israeli founders to reach global opportunities. Miami was only the beginning. Next up: TECH WEEK by a16z in June, with more missions, activations, and dates to be announced shortly. More missions. More access. More real value for our customers in the U.S. market. #IsraelFoundersMission #IsraelTechWeek

I am excited to share a wonderful opportunity that has been afforded to me. I have had the honor of mentoring two incredible women in Israel as they complete their Master’s degrees at the Coller School of Management in Tel Aviv. This opportunity arose through Israel Tech Mission, following my participation in their Women’s Mission to Israel in October 2025. It is both humbling and energizing to listen, learn, and support these talented women as they analyze their paths and plan their next steps post-graduation. I am continually inspired by their insight, ambition, and thoughtfulness, and I am grateful to play even a small role in their journey. Israel turns another year older today. At 78 years young, the country’s most promising emerging companies share a clear theme: highly focused and highly structural. While AI remains core, the 2026 promising startups highlighted by CTech by Calcalist are less about surface-level applications and more about foundational layers built to power large-scale industry shifts. Think security, compute, and deployment, with big bets in areas like chips, autonomy, and healthcare. The full list here — we’re excited to track these companies’ success. Another year older, another year wiser. Israel’s tech ecosystem continues to prove its outsized impact - a reminder that in a small, nimble country, innovation isn’t optional. https://lnkd.in/dXXHHpdE

I’ve always loved cycling. And Israel. Let’s do both. Join me on March 12 where we are partnering with Bartali - Youth in Movement for a cycling ride in the South, right after the upcoming Israel Tech Mission led by Roy Rubin. The ride is open to tech leaders who aren’t part of the main tech mission and a great way to meet many of our participants. It is a great opportunity to spend the day outdoors and network with exceptional Tech leaders while supporting a meaningful cause. If that sounds like your kind of day, click the link below and select the “Bartali Bike Ride Only” option. Register here: https://lnkd.in/epRUv4Z9 About Bartali: Bartali works with youth across Israel and they use cycling as a structured, therapeutic tool to help children rebuild resilience, confidence, and a sense of control. Their cycling center now serves over 130 children in 14 cycling groups

Grit. Resilience. Innovation. Impact. Dreaming big. Last week in Israel, I had the opportunity to take a deep dive into the country’s extraordinary health and biomedical ecosystem—the beating heart of the Start-Up Nation. Led by 8400 The Health Network and Israel Tech Mission, and joined by 40 inspiring healthcare leaders (many visiting for the first time), we engaged with the founders, scientists, investors, and policymakers shaping what’s next in health & biomedicine. Our journey spanned the spectrum of history and the future: 🔬 Exploring the The Peres Center for Peace and Innovation , Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer (and its ARC Innovation Center), and Startup Nation Central, and 🧬 Returning to the Weizmann Institute of Science —where I spent a formative summer in high school. 🏛️ Walking the newly excavated 2,000-year-old Pilgrimage Road in the City of David—and the Old City of Jerusalem is a powerful reminder that history here is layered and still unfolding. What stood out wasn't just the scale of innovation, but its incredible density. For a nation of roughly 9 million people, the per-capita concentration of science, venture capital, clinical research, and global health impact ranks among the highest in the world. The compression of talent, urgency, and mission creates a catalytic effect that is incredibly difficult to replicate elsewhere. We explored not just technology, but the deeper forces driving Israeli innovation: urgency, collaboration, and hope. The experience also included deeply moving visits to the Nova Festival site and Kfar Aza—stark reminders of the human cost of October 7th, and of the profound resilience that continues to define this nation. Grateful to the Israel Tech Mission and 8400 The Health Network teams for curating such a meaningful journey, and to Lee Shapiro and Samuel Moed for the invitation. #HealthTech #StartupNation #DigitalHealth #TelAviv #Biotech #HealthCareInnovation
