We are committed to a beautiful, accessible City. In 2025, we completed a $14 million streetscape transformation on Grant Avenue, featuring our first roundabout and enhanced pedestrian upgrades. By improving commercial corridors like Sudley Road and Mathis Avenue, we are building infrastructure that matches the ambition of our business community. Track our infrastructure progress. • Happy (Belated) Administrative Professionals Day! Earlier this week, our Human Resources, Fire & Rescue, and Police departments took to social media to recognize our incredible administrative professionals. From coordinating operations behind the scenes to providing support with precision and care, our admins are truly the backbone of City government. We may be late to the celebration, but our gratitude for their work is constant. • Night 2 of the City Resident Academy was fire (not literally)! 🔥🚒 Last night at Fire Station 21, participants got a hands-on look at the vital work happening across Fire & Rescue, Police, and Social Services. From engaging demonstrations to meaningful conversations, it was an evening full of learning and connection. Participants heard from Assistant City Manager/Police Chief Douglas Keen, Fire Chief Edward Mills, and Nicole Kirven, Director of Social Services—each offering insight into how their teams serve the Manassas community every day. We were also excited to welcome City Council Member Ashley Hutson for the evening! We’re looking forward to keeping the momentum going next week at Public Works.
