Updates

  • Big ideas often start with familiar faces. So far this May, the City has celebrated ribbon cuttings for Arepa Social and Cannon Branch Dental of Manassas— two businesses founded by entrepreneurs familiar to the region who chose to pursue their own vision right here in the City. From authentic Venezuelan flavors and family recipes to personalized, technology-driven dental care, these businesses add to the diversity, experience, and quality of life that continue to define the heart of Manassas. Their stories reflect something we see time and again: local entrepreneurs investing back into the community they know best.

  • We are committed to a beautiful, accessible City. In 2025, we completed a $14 million streetscape transformation on Grant Avenue, featuring our first roundabout and enhanced pedestrian upgrades. By improving commercial corridors like Sudley Road and Mathis Avenue, we are building infrastructure that matches the ambition of our business community. Track our infrastructure progress. • A huge thank you to the many City of Manassas businesses who joined us last Thursday for another impactful Business Appreciation Breakfast This year’s breakfast marked the first time the event has been hosted at the City-owned Manassas Community Center — a beautiful community asset now available for events, gatherings, and rentals. The morning featured a candid workforce conversation led by Micron Technology’s Zuzana Steen alongside leaders from Northern Virginia Community College, George Mason University - Science and Technology Campus | Nexus234 Innovation District, and Manassas City Public Schools CTE. The discussion highlighted practical strategies for building talent pipelines, strengthening workforce partnerships, and connecting businesses with resources available right here in our community. Attendees also received the first look at the City’s newly released 2025 Annual Report. A special thank you to the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, our panelists, raffle contributors, and all of the businesses that continue investing in and strengthening Manassas every day.
