Myriam King wanted her team at Starting Point Nursing Services to feel supported, informed, and set up to do their best work. So she built something to make that happen. The visibility tool she created gives both leadership and individual team members a clear picture throughout the month — not just at the end of it. The result: a team that can solve problems earlier, support each other better, and show up for patients in San Antonio, TX with more consistency and care. Her story is a great example of Working Smart and Doing Good. Read more in our latest "The Way We Lead" spotlight. https://nuvi.me/42q4tu #WorkSmartDoGood #TeamBrightSpring

During Brain Injury Awareness Week, BrightSpring is proud to recognize the life-changing impact of our neurorehabilitation team at Rehab Without Walls® Neuro Rehabilitation and the resilience of patients like Guadalupe “Lupe” P. After an anoxic brain injury following cardiac arrest in late 2024, Lupe faced complex medical challenges and required around-the-clock care when he returned home. Through Rehab Without Walls’ home and community-based program, his interdisciplinary team worked closely with him and his family, adapting care to his needs, improving home safety, and supporting his progress every step of the way. What started as challenges with memory, communication, and mobility became meaningful milestones. By the end of his program, Lupe was writing full sentences, using strategies to stay organized, and becoming more independent in his daily life. Today, he continues to make progress, walking with his mother and staying active at the gym. Stories like Lupe’s show the power of personalized, compassionate care and the difference it can make for people and their families. This Brain Injury Awareness Week, we celebrate the dedication of our Rehab Without Walls team and the strength of those they serve. https://nuvi.me/k1f3zo

When Bonnie Tikiun's client lost his father while in the hospital, she didn't wait for her next scheduled shift. She showed up — on her own time, without pay — because she knew he needed someone there. That's who Bonnie is. An All Ways Caring HomeCare DSP in Anchorage, AK and the LEGACY of Care Caregiver of the Year, Bonnie coordinates care around the clock, fills gaps before families feel them, and gives more than any role requires. Her story is a powerful example of Working Smart and Doing Good. https://nuvi.me/nyxz5c #WorkSmartDoGood #TeamBrightSpring

Today, we celebrate Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. She devoted her life to helping the poor and the sick, and her impact on healthcare is still felt. We honor her and the groundbreaking work she did to improve patient care in hospitals, use evidence to guide care, and elevate the nursing profession.
