Devereux FL’s John Ortiz Rodriguez receives Florida ARF 2025 ‘Circle of Champions Award’

Devereux Florida Program Director John Ortiz Rodriguez, BCBA, recently received the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities 2025 “Circle of Champions Award.”

Congratulations to Devereux Florida Program Director John Ortiz Rodriguez, BCBA, who recently received the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (ARF) 2025 “Circle of Champions Award.”

Ortiz Rodriguez was honored during an awards luncheon at Florida ARF’s annual conference in Clearwater. The “Circle of Champions Award” recognizes individuals for their exceptional commitment, contributions and continuing service to people with disabilities.

“I am truly honored to receive this award for my work managing the daily operations of Devereux Florida’s community-based group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Ortiz Rodriguez. “This award is testament to the tireless efforts of our entire team to provide high-quality, compassionate care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”

A collaborative approach to care

Ortiz Rodriguez joined Devereux Florida in 2015 and said he is proud to be part of “an amazing team” that always puts those in their care first.

“I enjoy the team mentality. We are there to help each other – from our senior leaders to our direct care staff,” Ortiz Rodriguez explained. “The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing the individuals we serve reach their goals and seeing how the care we provide positively impacts their overall quality of life.”

Devereux Florida Executive Director Michelle Llorens, BCBA, noted, “We are grateful for the leadership, passion and dedication John demonstrates day in and day out. He and his team go above and beyond to meet the needs of the individuals in our care, helping them acquire new skills, engage with their communities, achieve greater independence, and lead fulfilling, productive and socially-connected lives.”
