Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions

Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) provides support to schools around early learning, academic interventions, safety practices and the assessment and treatment of students with complex behaviors, cognitive challenges and communication needs. We use evidence-based practices with an emphasis on assisting school systems with special education populations.

  • Center for Autism Education Services: Offers empirically-validated behavioral treatment programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, as well as children, adolescents and adults with behavioral concerns and/or other developmental disabilities
  • Center for Effective Schools: Improves services for children with, and at risk for developing, emotional and behavioral disorders through evidence-based practices
  • Center for Resilient Children: Strives to promote social and emotional development, foster resilience, and build skills for school and life success in children birth through preschool and promote the resilience of the adults who care for them
  • Center for School-Based Mental Health Services: Provides comprehensive, school-based mental health services to support the emotional and behavioral health and well-being of students

Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

Devereux's Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology program is offered through the Institute of Clinical and Professional Training and Research (ICPTR). Our internship program has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1956.

ICPTR adheres to a developmental model of training in which the intern progresses from an initial closely supervised and monitored state to a more autonomous level of professional functioning by the end of the internship. The training program encourages the continual accumulation of knowledge, refinement of clinical skills and development of professional identity. Training is tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of each intern.

Devereux Learning Hub

The Devereux Learning Hub provides online training, curricular resources and continuing education courses and credits. Our resources are developed in collaboration with experienced subject matter experts whose expertise ranges across multiple disciplines and populations. Our catalog includes training and courseware for K-12 educators, early care and education professionals, clinicians and other allied health professionals, psychologists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Devereux’s courses help professionals develop the tools and skills needed to be successful and provide continuing education opportunities to maintain credentials and licensure.

Direct Care Training Resources (DCTR)

Devereux’s Direct Care Training Resources (DCTR) program enhances staff performance at an organization's most critical level: the point at which services are delivered to the individuals entrusted to its care. Our competency-based, empirically-supported programs for learning and performance are offered to trainers, first-line personnel and supervisory staff, in both basic and train-the-trainer formats. DCTR training is used throughout Devereux’s national treatment network and in more than 100 behavioral health, educational and human service organizations.
