Critical multilingual survey blocked for weeks by recurring Jotform translation bugs — no ETA, no ownership, no workaround
We are a paying Jotform customer and built a business-critical international B2B survey on their platform, intended to be deployed in multiple languages.
Unfortunately, Jotform’s multilingual translation feature has repeatedly failed on our forms. Some translated elements, including Input Table rows/headers and other form elements, keep appearing in the default language instead of the translated language, despite the translations being correctly configured in Jotform’s settings.
This is not a one-off configuration issue. The same type of bug was reported in February 2026, after the feature had previously worked. It blocked our international survey launch for weeks. Jotform support escalated it to developers, but repeatedly gave us generic “we are working on it” replies without any concrete resolution timeline. At one point, we were told the issue was resolved, but our tests showed that several translated elements were still broken.
The issue then reappeared in May 2026 on another live form. Again, Jotform support confirmed they could reproduce the problem and escalated it to developers. Again, no ETA, no technical explanation, no workaround, and no accountable owner were provided.
This has directly delayed a 9-language international survey, disrupted our planning, and cost us time, money, and credibility with our own stakeholders.
The most frustrating part is not only the bug itself — bugs can happen — but the complete lack of professional escalation management for a paying customer facing a blocking production issue. Repetitive support replies such as “we’ll update you when we hear back” are not acceptable when a core platform feature is preventing a project from going live.
Companies planning serious multilingual surveys, especially with business-critical timelines, should be extremely cautious before relying on Jotform’s translation features. Based on our experience, when a complex translation bug occurs, you may be left waiting for weeks without a reliable ETA, workaround, or clear accountability.
We are not asking for perfection. We are asking for ownership, transparency, and a fix. So far, Jotform has failed to provide all three

Easiest to use form builder
Really great in its simplicity, I can efficiently use its AI feature to help me build a strong foundation on my forms and work off of that. JotForm's variety in its ways to help collect data is very excellent as it updates in real-time.

Brilliant for PTA
Jotform has completely changed the way we manage forms and event registrations. It’s incredibly easy to use, even for people with very little tech experience, and the drag-and-drop builder makes creating professional forms quick and stress-free.
We use it regularly for school PTA events, stall bookings, volunteer sign-ups, and collecting information from parents, and it has saved us countless hours. The automation features, integrations, and instant notifications make organising events so much smoother.
The templates are brilliant, the forms look professional on mobile and desktop, and being able to customise everything to match our branding is a huge bonus.
Overall, Jotform is reliable, user-friendly, and one of the best tools we’ve used for community and event organisation. Highly recommended. We even managed to make an app for parents!

Jotform - The platform every business needs!
Jotform is one of the best platforms I have used for business. Not only have I used Jotform to roll out a whole new system within our disability support organisation spreading over different offices across Australia, I also use it for my own two businesses for Photography and Trauma Informed support service.
The range of integrations offered are exactly what I have needed to ensure easy use and workflow.
Jotform has made such a difference to the organisation I work for that there was a recent upgrade to enterprise as it has been so useful for exactly what the company required.

I am extremely impressed with Jotform's capabilities. I have created a range of forms for my business from request forms, feedback forms, and agreements. The AI assistant has been wonderful. What could have taken me days to create as a basic word document is made with Jotform in minutes with easy to use drop downs and suggested fields.
