  • Yesterday, the Connecting Canada: Performance, Pressures and Policy Priorities for Canada’s Telecommunications Sector event took place, presented by the Canadian Telecommunications Association and GSMA. Tim Hatt, (GSMA Intelligence), joined Maher Yaghi MSc., MBA, CPA, CFA, FRM (Scotiabank) and Eric Smith (Canadian Telecommunications Association) for a panel discussion on the latest trends in Canada’s telecommunications sector. The session examined the sector’s financial performance, investment challenges and the competitive forces shaping outcomes for Canadians. Lara Dewar, (GSMA), and Robert Ghiz, (Canadian Telecommunications Association), opened the event, which brought together industry leaders for an insightful day, exploring how advanced connectivity can support economic competitiveness, innovation and digital resilience across Canada.
