  • What is #5G Standalone (5G SA)? It’s the foundation of “real” 5G—built entirely on a 5G core to unlock network slicing, ultra‑low latency, and massive IoT at scale 🌐 Want to learn what it actually takes to deploy it? Join us at 𝗥𝗜𝗚 #𝟵𝟵: 𝟱𝗚 𝗦𝗔 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, hosted by GCI Communication Corp., to explore how operators are navigating the shift from NSA to SA, preparing their networks, and realizing the real‑world benefits of 5G SA today—not years from now. With 5G on track to become the dominant connectivity technology by the end of the decade, understanding SA deployment is no longer optional—it’s essential. • On #GirlsInICT Day, we’re celebrating young women across the Caribbean who are learning not just how to use technology — but how to shape it 🌍 This April, GSMA North America supported #Tech4Girls: Make AI Work for You — a multi‑day regional workshop empowering girls and young women to engage critically with AI, digital influence, and leadership. During the opening session, Judith Azcunes, Regional Senior Director, Technology Working Groups North America at GSMA, reminded participants that understanding technology is just as important as using it: “𝘈𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘯𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 — 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.” That message was echoed by Bharadwaj Pulugundla, Business Development Partner at Verizon, who spoke about possibility, passion, and agency in an evolving #AI landscape: “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦.” And in a powerful call to action, Senator the Honourable Dominic Smith, Minister of Public Administration & Artificial Intelligence, emphasised the broader impact of access and inclusion: “𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘳.” Together, these voices reinforced a shared truth: when girls are given the tools, confidence, and opportunity to lead, they don’t just participate in the #digital future — they define it 🙌 #GirlsInICT #ChangeTheFace
