14 years ago I sat in a classroom at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, not entirely sure what my path looked like, but absolutely certain that I wanted something bigger for my future.
That experience didn’t just teach me about entrepreneurship, it gave me belief, resilience, and the confidence to start my own business journey.
Fast forward to Friday evening and I had the privilege of attending the 20 Year Anniversary Ball of the Peter Jones Foundation, surrounded by leaders, entrepreneurs, and the very Dragons I grew up watching for inspiration.
Peter had a bold ambition. Raise £20 million in twenty years. The night started at just over £19 million and by the end of the evening the total reached an extraordinary £20,191,800, with almost £1 million raised on the night alone. A truly spectacular milestone.
What made the night even more meaningful was why I was there. Recently I reached out to the academy asking how I could give back, how I could share my experience with students who are exactly where I once was. Only a few weeks later I received an invitation to attend the event… a powerful reminder that opportunity lives on the other side of action.
Watching Peter achieve his long term vision reminded me that real success isn’t measured by speed, luck, or perfect timing. It’s measured by staying committed long enough for the results to show. Great things are built quietly, patiently, and by people who refuse to let their vision fade.
Today the Foundation continues its powerful mission to empower young people with real enterprise skills, confidence and opportunities that help them shape their own future. It does not only teach business. It encourages belief, ambition and the mindset to make things happen.
Thank you to the entire Peter Jones Foundation for creating opportunity and changing lives. I’m incredibly proud to be part of this journey, and even more excited to support the next generation of entrepreneurs in the years ahead. 🙏 🚀
