What does the future of logistics leadership demand?
Not long ago, supply chains were primarily designed for efficiency. Today, they are being redesigned for resilience, adaptability, integration, and strategic responsiveness.
At ENLOP, we believe the next generation of logistics leaders must be capable of navigating uncertainty, integrating technology with operations, connecting global stakeholders, and driving transformation across complex supply chain ecosystems.
Over the past days, the ENLOP 2026 cohort engaged in an immersive executive learning experience exploring some of the most pressing strategic questions shaping the future of logistics and supply chain management, from resilient supply chain design and performance management to AI-enabled decision-making, logistics futures, and operational transformation.
One of the defining moments of the module was the visit to the The National Robotarium in Edinburgh, where participants, welcomed by #AMECA, experienced firsthand how robotics, automation, and emerging technologies are reshaping operational environments and redefining the future of supply chains.
What made the week particularly powerful was the combination of executive dialogue, critical reflection, cross-industry exchange, and applied learning, enriched by leading academics, practitioners, and expert contributors bringing both strategic depth and real-world insight into the classroom.
We are deeply grateful to our partner university, Heriot-Watt University, for hosting this second ENLOP module in Edinburgh, Scotland: Designing and Operating Resilient Supply Chains - part of The Future of Logistics: Leadership Program in Global Logistics & Supply Chain.
Special thanks to Caitlin Morris, Louisa Osmond, Prof. Dr. Alan McKinnon, Helen MacKenzie, Edward Sweeney, Luciana Blaha, PhD and Joyce Byrne for their expertise, support, and valuable contributions throughout the week.
We also thank the trust and support of the outstanding organizations represented in the classroom during the module, including Felix Schoeller GmbH, Lufthansa Cargo AG, BSH Hausgeräte AG, Kuehne+Nagel, Bertschi Group, Hapag-Lloyd AG, SWISS WorldCargo - Air cargo division of SWISS, Tchibo, and Schlimgen Logistics Solutions, for contributing to such a rich and forward-looking learning environment.
The future of supply chains will be shaped by leaders who can transform uncertainty into resilience and complexity into competitive advantage. It is inspiring to witness this community doing exactly that!
