Construction demand across the Middle East is rising – but so are energy, material and delivery pressures. For clients, that means one thing: projects need to be designed and delivered more intelligently to control cost, reduce risk and accelerate outcomes. Smarter building approaches can help you use fewer resources, improve constuctability, shorten programme schedules and create safer, more cost-effective projects. Iman Abi Saab, our buildings market leader in the #MiddleEast, shares five practical ways clients can build smarter while managing today’s commercial and delivery constraints: 🔸Challenge the brief 🔸Simplify and standardise 🔸Diversify your supply chain 🔸Embrace digital tools 🔸Plan slow, build fast Read the full article to see how smarter decisions can unlock better project outcomes: https://mottm.ac/4dzkDxF #MottMacMiddleEast #BuildFast #BuildSmart

Despite political and operational uncertainty, we are seeing real momentum across New Zealand’s infrastructure sector when it comes to decarbonisation and climate resilience. Across transport, water and energy, organisations are choosing to move, adapt and innovate for the long term, prioritising progress over perfection. Rather than waiting for ideal conditions, they are acting now, recognising that delay only increases future risk. Progress is being driven by practical decision‑making, early investment in resilience, and a willingness to tackle complex challenges such as Scope 3 emissions, climate adaptation and electrification head‑on. Leadership is increasingly collective rather than hierarchical, with collaboration across supply chains, sectors and communities becoming essential to delivery. Carbon Crunch 2025 Auckland captured this moment of resolve. Read the full recap at https://mottm.ac/4tL14J2

The 2026 WTS International Annual Conference reinforced the value of visible leadership for #WomenInTransportation. Hearing women share insights and lead conversations on the future of transportation made clear how much progress is possible when women are supported and seen. We were proud to sponsor #WTS2026 and to see our North America colleagues Julia Barker, Lorraine McAteer, Lakshmi Praseeda Vemulapalli, Precious Ikem, PhD, CEng, Pippa Higgins P.Eng CEng FICE and Sam Wilson contribute to those conversations. Hear from some of them in this video recap. 👇 #WTSAC2026 #BrilliantPeople

Our most recent Stand Tall Network event for Women in Advisory in London was a really empowering evening. We heard from two brilliant speakers: Natasha Clark, who is programme lead for a flagship net zero transformation at the Environment Agency, and Genia Mineeva, is the founder of BEEN - Certified B Corp. Both shared their career stories openly and sparked thoughtful conversation on sustainability, leadership and confidence across the room. Thank you to Danielle Young and Maria King for making this event happen and helping others to stand tall.

The completion of the Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF) marks a major step forward in strengthening Australia’s sovereign Defence capability. The facility brings the maintenance and upgrade of Australia’s most advanced military aircraft onshore, reducing downtime, retaining specialist skills and positioning South Australia as a national hub for high-end aviation sustainment. We were appointed project manager and contract administrator to support Renewal SA through construction, commissioning and handover, providing continuity, technical assurance and specialist Defence expertise across the project lifecycle. This AU$200m, purpose-built facility will support the long-term sustainment of the ADF’s P-8A Poseidon and E-7A Wedgetail aircraft, while also enabling maintenance for allied fleets and reinforcing Australia’s role as a trusted regional partner. Delivered ahead of schedule and on budget, the DMMF demonstrates what’s possible when strong governance, industry capability and public-sector intent are aligned.
