  • Great delivery like this doesn’t happen by accident - it’s built on structure, coordination and seeing every stage through to completion. We’re proud to have played a key role in bringing this site to life, managing the process end to end: ✔️ Design approval secured with Last Mile Asset Management  ✔️ Full legal process led and completed within three months  ✔️ Close coordination across all stakeholders from concept through to delivery Credit to everyone involved in making Cardigan Fields what it is today.   Kym Milne, Senior Business Development Manager on the project said, “Cardigan Fields demonstrates what’s possible when experienced partners align around clear delivery, shared accountability, and long‑term value, setting a strong benchmark for EV infrastructure.” We support developers, operators and fleet owners to get their charge points energised as quickly as possible. 🔥 Cardigan Fields… what a project 🔥 There are sites you work on, and then there are sites that make you step back and go: this is what great delivery looks like, planning, coordination, attention to detail, and a team that just gets it done. 👏 Over the last few months, Cardigan Fields has been a huge focus for us at Gigawatt with RAW Charging & Landsec, and seeing the work come together has been genuinely brilliant. ⚡️🤝 We’ve delivered a charging mix that fits how people actually use the site day-to-day: 🔌 ✅ 6 × 150kW rapid Alpitronic chargers ✅ 3 × 50kW rapid Alpitronic chargers ✅ 5 × 22kW fast ChargePoint chargers Alongside the chargers themselves, a big part of making a site like this work is the grid connection, and it’s been great working with Northern Powergrid (DNO) and Last Mile (IDNO) to get the electrical infrastructure in place to support the capacity on site. ⚙️⚡️ We’ve also had JK Jointing Ltd Jointing working alongside us, Lucy Electric supplying the substation, and GeoVision Surveys Ltd completing the surveys, all helping keep the project moving and the quality bar high. 🛠️📍 So whether you’re grabbing something quick and need speed, or you’re here a bit longer and want a steady top-up, the site is being built to support it, more bays, more choice, and a better experience for EV drivers. 🚗⚡️ The best part of projects like this is the team effort behind them. From planning through to delivery on site, there’s been a huge amount of work carried out by a lot of people, and the standard has been top class throughout. Really proud of everyone who’s played a part in getting Cardigan Fields to where it is now. 🙌 More to come from this site but today is just a bit of appreciation for a great project, and a great team. 📸 Anthony Ribbens | Mike Grocott | Abraham T. | Charles Coghlan | Adam Nott | Tim Aris | Charlie Casey | David Cook | Ash Gaunt | Christopher Peake #EVCharging #EVInfrastructure #ElectricVehicles #Construction #Engineering #CleanTransport #Gigawatt

  • Social tariff support for water shouldn’t depend on postcode. As a New Appointments and Variation (NAV) we have witnessed first-hand how inconsistent the current system is for customers. The INA’s Nicola Pitts sets out the case for a national social tariff in Water Magazine, highlighting how comparable low-income households on a social tariff can face bills of up to £534 in Whitby versus £100 in Winchester. Whilst the water sector provides substantial support of around £640m a year for social tariffs, Nicola argues it’s time to use existing powers to create a national social tariff, with contributions pooled across incumbents and NAVs to make eligibility clearer and support fairer. Social tariff support for water s𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆. In Water Magazine, INA Executive Director Nicola Pitts sets out why today’s regional patchwork of social tariff schemes is 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 — even as the sector provides substantial support (around £𝟲𝟰𝟬𝗺 a year for social tariffs). The article highlights how comparable low-income households can face very different outcomes — for example ~£𝟱𝟯𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗯𝘆 versus ~£𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 — and argues it’s time for Government to use existing powers to establish a national social tariff, making eligibility clearer and support fairer across England and Wales. • Connections reform must translate into real-world improvements for customers: clearer pre-application data, better hand-offs between parties, and milestones that measure quality as well as speed. As a founding member of the INA, we contributed to their response to Ofgem’s Connections End-to-End Review. Britain’s connections system is under strain — and customers still face delays, uncertainty and unclear decisions. We’ve published a new blog setting out INA’s view on the 𝗢𝗳𝗴𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝘁𝗼-𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 and what connections reform must deliver in practice: ✅ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻, 𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 so customers can see what’s possible early (capacity, constraints, curtailment/outage assumptions, queue and milestone status) ✅ 𝗘𝗻𝗱-𝘁𝗼-𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 across the full chain, including DNO/TO/NESO hand-offs ✅ 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱, so offers are complete and reliable ✅ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 customers can plan around, with responsibility sitting with the root cause of delay ✅ 𝗔 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, including timely charges information and EHV charging transparency for major projects Read the blog here: https://lnkd.in/etCE84y9 #Ofgem #Connections #ElectricityNetworks #NetZero #Infrastructure #Energy #Housing #EVCharging

GRIDSERVE has just wrapped a major power upgrade at Knutsford Services in the North West of England. This project has been more than two years in the making, requiring an all-new grid connection and drilling under eight lanes of M6 motorway. 🤯    Projects of this scale and complexity cannot be delivered without the support of our awesome partners as well as National HighwaysScottishPowerMoto Hospitality and Last Mile Asset Management Limited. We’re proud to be playing our part in the decarbonisation of transport and delivering the sort of super-fast, EV charging provision that gives drivers the confidence to make the switch to electric.    Stay tuned in December as the Super Hub rollout continues at speed!    #EVCharging #GRIDSERVE #ElectricVehicles #SustainableTransport
