A new national network has launched to accelerate innovation across nucleic acids, bringing together researchers, industry partners and policymakers from across the UK. By fostering collaboration at a national scale, the initiative will support the development of next-generation therapeutics, diagnostics and enabling technologies. University of Edinburgh spinout Resolution Therapeutics is presenting pre-clinical data on its regenerative macrophage therapy (RMT) for inflammatory and fibrotic diseases at the American Cell and Gene Therapy conference in Boston this week. Co-founded by Professor Stuart Forbes of the Institute for Regeneration and Repair, Resolution’s Dr Lara Campana, Scientific Co-Founder and SVP, will present data showing their engineered RMT’s positive preclinical safety and therapeutic profile, as Resolution awaits interim results from its Phase I/II EMERALD clinical trial in patients with end-stage liver disease, expected in the second half of 2026.
