We’re so pleased to be part of this growing community, and look forward to the new collaborations, ideas and discoveries that will emerge from the network. Our Director, Professor Susan Rosser, will lead the The University of Edinburgh’s involvement in the network, supported by our Head of Operations Dr Alice Barrier, and Dr Rennos Fragkoudis, Head of Edinburgh Genome Foundry.   The goals of the IANA Network are aligned with the aims of the Engineering Biology for Advanced Therapeutics Hub: to harness engineering biology to develop safer, more precise and controllable next-generation therapeutics. The Hub brings together expertise in synthetic biology, gene regulation, therapeutic design and translational innovation to help shape the future of advanced medicines. It's great to be bringing the FORUM Sir Colin Dollery Lecture to Scotland for the first time, particularly given the Academy's Scottish cross-sector hub was launched in partnership with the NRS last year and the strong engineering biology ecosystem in Scotland. The Lecture and preceding showcase will convene experts from across the UK to discuss how engineering biology can improve health – from cell & gene therapies to living biosensors, from engineered tissues & organs to biomanufacturing of medicines.
