We’ve really enjoyed working with communities across the south of Scotland with South of Scotland Enterprise, and our team recently caught up with Solway Coast and Marine Landscape Connections Project about some exciting upcoming #opportunities. SCAMP are currently advertising several tenders, including two that could be particularly relevant for #satellite #data and Earth observation companies with ecological analysis capabilities, focused on #seagrass and #oyster mapping. It’s great to see ambitious marine restoration activity in the region creating opportunities for the Space Scotland community where innovative environmental monitoring and data-led conservation can make a real impact. The New Voices in Space Working Group at Space Scotland is pleased to share the final report from the Diversity and Inclusion within the Scottish Space Sector initiative, supported by the UK Space Agency Devolved Administration Fund. The report draws on focus group discussions held earlier this year and explores key themes including workforce diversity, inclusion, skills development, and participation across Scotland’s space sector. It also outlines recommendations intended to support workforce sustainability and broaden participation across the industry. We hope the findings will contribute to ongoing conversations around workforce development and the future growth of Scotland’s space sector. A sincere thank you to Dr Athina Frantzana for her leadership and work on the report, and to everyone who contributed to the discussions and shared their perspectives.
