  • 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 Artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous systems are already reshaping how we operate, both onshore and offshore. - The future’s leaders will lead more than just people, they will also lead AI agents, drones, and robots, says CEO Karl Johnny Hersvik This week, our very own Aker Humanoid Robot was launched at the Aker quarters in Fornebu.  It serves as a clear illustration of how artificial intelligence and robotics are becoming an increasingly integral part of the industry. At the same time, we are investing heavily in competence, and just announced that we are hiring 26 positions within artificial intelligence. We've been building the data foundation and interoperable ecosystem that now lets us scale AI across some of the most complex operations in our industry. This is already real. At the Yggdrasil field, recognised with Gullkronen 2026 - New Technology and Innovator of the Year, we're deploying next-generation AI at scale in one of the most advanced offshore developments in the world. Our ambition is simple to state and hard to deliver: a 3x productivity improvement. Getting there demands more than incremental gains, it requires a fundamental redesign of how work gets done. You get there by redesigning how decisions are made, how work is planned, and how assets are run, with AI agents as native participants in the operating model. And that's why we're looking for ambitious, driven AI professionals who want to help rewrite how a large industrial company operates. 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺, 𝘄𝗲'𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂. • 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏&𝐀 After decades of production, a well eventually reaches the end of its lifecycle. At this stage, it must be permanently plugged to reduce risk and liability, ensuring safe isolation with no harm to people or the environment, before it can be abandoned. Recently, our Plug and Abandonment (P&A) team visited the University of Stavanger for a hands-on laboratory workshop focused on dispersion of settled barite and fluid behaviour for permanently well plugging. Led by Mahmoud Khalifeh, UiS, the session provided practical experience with both water-based and oil-based systems. Through structured lab work, including sample preparation, testing of different approaches, the team explored how fluid properties can be maintained and optimised for the dispersion of settled barite. The workshop provided a valuable learning arena, strengthening our technical understanding, enabling more robust decision-making in P&A operations and showcasing how close collaboration with academia drives continuous improvement and deeper technology understanding at Aker BP.

They have developed robotic welding that ensures HSE standards and technical quality. This is the first step toward a higher degree of digitalization of the welding process, both in the planning phase and during execution. #tech #improvement #welding #offshore #robot

By enabling offshore leaders to be present where the operation is executed, alignment on risk and opportunities across teams is enhanced, which is critical to drive safety, quality and productivity. Aker BP is launching a new reporting solution for intervention operations in SLB's IDEX Collaboration Platform to enhance leadership visibility and data quality. Intervention operations for maintaining, repairing and optimizing wells are essential for a well to keep producing. This marks an important milestone after several years of deliberate development of the intervention collaboration capabilities. What started as long-term capability building is now a real change in how we work: • Reporting is now directly linked to planned procedures and time plans • Wellsite leaders spend significantly less time on manual reporting (up to around 80% reduction) enabling more time on deck managing risk and outcome • Data quality is improved at the source, not corrected afterwards The journey to get here, has been achieved thorough verification, parallel reporting, and close collaboration across operations, data management, and digital. That effort is what makes this change robust. From February, the new solution replaced the previous reporting system for intervention operations. This also establishes a more future-oriented architecture for operational reporting, enabling better data sharing and reuse across the organisation. #alliancesworksmarter

  • "Secure activity, build competence, and prepare the industry for the future." That was Aker BP's promise to Norwegian authorities when we sanctioned our major project portfolio in 2022. We are delivering, and the Aker Solutions yard in Sandnessjøen is a textbook example. On Thursday, we celebrated the solid deliveries from the yard to the Aker BP-operated projects since 2022 together with employees and guests. The footprint speaks for itself: 2,500+ tonnes, 660,000 work hours, nearly 400 person-years of activity, and 20 apprentices who have started their careers. ✅ Manifolds for Tyrving and the Skarv Satellites projects ✅ Flare tower for the new Valhall production platform ✅ Flare tower for the Hugin A platform in Yggdrasil ✅ In addition, modifications for Skarv Satellites, steel frames for Yggdrasil manifolds, and the bridge adapter for Valhall "These are complex multi-discipline projects – delivered on plan, with quality and safely. The yard in Sandnessjøen has developed from a local prefabrication shop to a multi-discipline delivery yard for the entire Norwegian shelf. We are really proud of you, and you should all be very proud of your deliveries," said SVP Projects Knut Sandvik. #yggdrasil #ValhallPWPFenris #SkarvSatellites #Tyrving
