𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗳® 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 We have officially kicked off our joint workstream with LVMH Gaïa and Tereos to accelerate the scaling of releaf® by avantium (PEF) across Europe – creating circular luxury from green feedstocks through renewable chemistry. This follows the strategic alliance announced in September 2025, where Avantium, LVMH and Tereos committed to scaling up releaf® production across Europe. The consortium intends to expand by including additional strategic partners to build and operate the first industrial-scale facility in Europe based on Avantium’s proprietary YXY® Technology. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘤𝘬-𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘢𝘱:  • Tereos – CSR roadmap and Cultivate Net Zero Tereos' purpose underpins all of its actions, from field to consumer. It is implemented, above all, through the CSR roadmap, which sets out an ambitious and robust trajectory for the agricultural cooperative's transition, including a 65% reduction in industrial GHG emissions in Europe and large scale investments in regenerative agriculture and low carbon ingredients. Yesterday primary food processors had a constructive exchange with Christophe Hansen, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food🤝 We are pleased that the Commissioner recognises the essential contribution of primary processors to Europe’s food chain and economy 🌾🍽️ and we thank him for inviting us to take part in the upcoming Food Dialogues. Christophe Hansen’s comments are unequivocal. Recently, the Commissioner responsible for agriculture and food stated that :   “There is huge potential to do more” by scaling up bioenergy such as bioethanol, since European refineries “are all operating below their maximum capacity.”     At a time when the energy crisis is deepening, this observation confirms the urgent need for the EU to fully leverage its domestic potential for renewable bioethanol - an immediate lever to strengthen energy sovereignty and resilience. By producing sugars, starch products, alcohol, ethanol, animal feed, and many other essential products for numerous industries, our biorefineries play a key role for sectors such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, perfumery, and energy.     They are essential to driving the EU’s shift away from fossil fuels and strengthening its bioeconomy. The EU already has everything it needs to secure its sovereignty, boost competitiveness, and stand firmly behind the agricultural sector. This is what all competitive countries - such as the United States - are already doing: diversifying biomass uses to strengthen food production, support farm incomes, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, all while advancing an ambitious climate agenda. As Commissioner Hansen emphasised, “we must put an end to the food-versus-fuel debate, which pits different uses against each other, inhibits synergies, and undermines our sovereignty.”
