When QCentroid and GSMA Foundry kicked off this collaboration at MWC Barcelona, the question was: where do operators actually start with quantum? At the mid-point, that question has an answer — four telecom use cases now in structured experimentation: → Urban small cell placement — cutting congestion in dense hotspots without inflating CapEx → Network anomaly detection — spotting DDoS, port scanning, and data exfiltration in real time → Predictive maintenance — scheduling interventions before failures hit service → Sleep mode scheduling — reducing site energy consumption without dropping QoS All four are large-scale combinatorial optimization problems. The kind where classical methods start hitting bottlenecks as networks get more distributed, and where hybrid quantum-classical approaches begin to look practical rather than speculative. The broader context: GSMA Intelligence reports that 60% of operators already have quantum on their roadmaps, and 52% plan to invest in or deploy within five years. Pilots at Telefónica, Orange, NTT Docomo, and Telstra are already underway. Next up: the Quantum Implementation Playbook, and a June webinar on Phase 1 findings and Phase 2 entry points. QCentroid is on Forbes España's 2026 list of SMEs changing the world. Forbes describes us as a "Quantum-as-a-Service platform that integrates more than 80 quantum computers from different manufacturers, allowing companies to experiment with this technology without large upfront investments. It bridges the gap between quantum potential and real-world impact, enabling seamless adoption, integration, and scalability without the need for expensive hardware." That's a fair summary of what we do — and of why we built it this way. The interesting part of the list isn't QCentroid being on it. It's the company we're in: LuxQuanta in quantum cryptography, Sateliot in space tech, Wooptix in optical metrology for chip production, and a long line of deep-tech SMEs working on real problems. Spain's deep-tech bench is deeper than people outside it tend to assume. Thanks to Forbes España, and to the clients and partners doing the actual work of moving quantum from pilot to production with us. https://lnkd.in/e6DDimPp

"How do we start?" is still the most common question financial institutions ask about quantum. Last week at Quantum Industry Day 2026 in Singapore, our CEO Carlos Kuchkovsky gave two talks built around answering exactly that — without the usual hype tax. Morning: a practical framework for enterprise adoption in finance. Which use cases are credible today (optimization, fraud detection, risk, portfolio analytics), which ones aren't yet, and how to build a roadmap that doesn't overcommit. The honest part of the talk was about what quantum can't do in production right now — and why that matters when you're allocating budget. Afternoon: how this works in practice through collaborative sandboxes. Banks, startups, and researchers working on the same business problem in a shared environment. Carlos walked through two live examples: – with QAI Ventures Singapore, where corporates and quantum startups co-develop applied solutions like quantum-enhanced fraud detection – with Singapore's National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH), including Q4F (led by @CQT, supported by National Quantum Computing Hub (NQCH)), translating academic research into industry-ready tools One path is commercial problem-solving. The other is research-to-industry. Most enterprises will need a bit of both. Grateful to the National Quantum Office and Quantinuum for organizing, and to everyone who stayed for the questions afterward. DM us if you want to talk about the sandbox

Boeing announces VARIANT consortium to advance urban air mobility, integrating AI, quantum, and hybrid computing for next-generation airspace validation Urban airspace is about to get significantly more complex. Boeing has announced VARIANT (Validation of AiRspace Integration Applications and New Technologies), a strategic initiative to enable the safe, efficient, and scalable integration of electric and autonomous aircraft into urban airspace – before that complexity arrives. Led by Boeing Aerospace Spain, the consortium brings together QCentroid, ANZEN Engineering, AI METHODS, SKYGRiD, with contributions from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, ENAIRE, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and CRIDA A.I.E. – spanning aerospace engineering, AI, and advanced computing. The project is recognised and partially funded by the Subdirección General de Innovación e Información Urbana of the Comunidad de Madrid. Within this framework, QCentroid leads the identification and feasibility analysis of quantum-relevant use cases across IAM and eVTOL operations – from vertiport scheduling to traffic surveillance and micro-weather – evaluating them through QuantumLAB-IAM, our platform for hybrid computational experimentation, benchmarking classical, quantum, and AI-driven approaches with rigorous, reproducible evidence. In a field where computational demands are growing faster than classical methods can scale, VARIANT is where that evidence starts to matter. Full press release: https://lnkd.in/dmNT9SW6

Good infrastructure partnerships are boring to describe and useful in practice. This one falls into that category. QCentroid is joining QAI Ventures' ecosystem as the platform backbone for their Global Industry Clusters. Organizations in Finance, Life Sciences, Industrials, and Telecom get structured access to sandbox environments, quantum readiness programs, and PoC delivery — with QCentroid handling the technical layer throughout. There's a stat from the GSMA Intelligence report that says a lot: over 75% of operators believe quantum will improve network security and efficiency. Yet only 5% have moved past early-stage exploration. So the interest is there. The action we are lacking. The reasons aren't surprising - technology still maturing, internal skills hard to build, no clear "where do we even start" guidance for most teams. That's what the QCentroid x GSMA Foundry collaboration, announced at MWC Barcelona, is built around. Not a pitch to go all-in on quantum now, but a structured, low-risk pathway: First, a Quantum Implementation Playbook to map out what's actually involved - costs, hardware considerations, business implications. Then guided experimentation. Then, a shared learning hub for the broader telecom ecosystem. Quantum readiness starts with understanding and the confidence to explore.
