Five years of innovation deserved a celebration, so the aiEndoscopic team traded procedural precision for curling stones. 🥌 The aiEndoscopic team recently celebrated our 5-year anniversary on the ice, and while our sweeping technique may still need some refinement, the team spirit was undeniable. After the game, we headed out for a well-earned fondue, where the conversations and laughter kept flowing. It was the perfect way to share stories and enjoy a lot of fun beyond the workplace. It was a great way to reflect on what has brought us this far: collaboration, curiosity, and a shared commitment to building technology that supports clinicians and improves patient care. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. We could not do it without you. Here’s to the next chapter. 🎉 #aiEndoscopic #TeamCulture #5YearAnniversary #Curling #TeamBuilding #HealthcareInnovation
Info
We simplify endoscopy. aiEndoscopic utilizes artificial intelligence (and robotics) to assist or even autonomize complex endoscopic procedures. Our first application is in airway management: larynGuide - a guiding software for easier and safer video laryngoscopy. The company is a spin-off from the three big Universities in Zürich: ETH Zürich, Universität Zürich, and Universitätsspital Zürich.

Great to see simulation-based medical training gaining more visibility across healthcare at the Royal College of Anaesthetists! 👏 At aiEndoscopic, we strongly believe that better training tools lead to better clinical performance. When clinicians can practice repeatedly in a structured, low-risk environment, confidence grows and patient safety benefits. Whether in airway management or endoscopy, the principle is the same: objective feedback, consistency, and repetition matter. We are excited to be building technology that helps bring more precision, support, and confidence to procedural training. #MedicalSimulation #ClinicalTraining #EndoscopyAI #HealthcareInnovation #PatientSafety #MedicalEducation
Our team were excited to be involved in the Airway Workshop at the Royal College of Anaesthetists in London on Tuesday, where TruGuide was included in the hands-on training sessions. It was encouraging to hear positive feedback from both experienced clinicians and trainees. Conversations throughout the day focused on how structured guidance and objective feedback can support airway education and help learners build confidence through repeatable practice. Workshops like this highlight the value of combining clinical expertise with simulation to strengthen training and support future patient care. Simulation Excellence. Lifesaving Confidence.

People often ask what building AI for endoscopy looks like day to day. It is mostly a simple loop: coffee, model training, reviewing cases, and a lot of back-and-forth with clinicians to make sure what we build is actually useful during a procedure. Most progress comes from iterations and from detailed feedback. We spend lots of time with clinicians reviewing cases, looking at false positives and missed detections, and trying to understand what would make the system better for earlier detection and better support during critical moments. It is also why we celebrate small improvements. A 0.7% gain in detection accuracy might not sound impressive, but in clinical contexts it can represent meaningful progress. It is also a reminder that “almost perfect” is not a comfortable place to be when patient care is involved. We are grateful for the clinicians and partners who are willing to give thoughtful feedback, and for the opportunity to build something that belongs in procedure rooms, not only in presentations. Our first time attending the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) was a valuable experience and a great reminder what these events are really about. NAEMSP, its members, and industry created a space for meaningful, deep conversations about the future of emergency medicine. We had the chance to connect one-on-one with several physicians and industry leaders who are doing incredibly thoughtful work in EMS and airway management. It reinforced an important reminder: conferences are not only about booth traffic or volume, what actually matters are the quality of the conversations you have and the relationships you start building. We are already following up on a number of promising discussions that came out of the event and cannot wait to see where they lead. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their insights with us. We were honored to receive a supportive review of TruGuides from Dr. James DuCanto, M.D., a leading voice in airway management and the inventor of SALAD (Suction Assisted Laryngoscopy Airway Decontamination). In his review, Dr. DuCanto emphasizes the value of objective, structured feedback in airway training and how TruGuide supports consistent skill improvement in complex clinical scenarios. It is inspiring and motivating to hear this viewpoint from someone who is so committed to improving airway management education. You can watch the full video here below 👇 We are very grateful for the support and the ongoing conversation with professionals who are influencing the direction of simulation-based teaching and airway management. It was a pleasure to be at International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) 2026 in San Antonio with TruCorp! Last week our CEO Philippe Ganz had numerous productive discussions with leading simulation professionals and companies. TruGuides' self-learning approach, particularly the individual objective performance analysis, generated a lot of interest, with many believing it might save trainers a lot of time while still providing high-quality feedback. We highly recommend watching this brief demo film from TruCorp, which provides an excellent explanation of how #TruGuide works in practice: https://lnkd.in/eknqxmfQ Thank you to everyone who stopped by for the stimulating discussions and opinions. IMSH 2026 was a great opportunity to connect and explore where simulation-based education is heading next. Join us next time at the National Association of EMS Physicians in Tampa, Florida from January 26 to 31.
