Exciting news: #Baspi is proud to be the implementation partner in one of 9 awarded 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 grants from Innosuisse & the Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF! 🎉 We're joining leading research groups at the University of Basel, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, and EPFL School of Engineering on 𝙈𝙀𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙌 (𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘘𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘮 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴), a project tackling one of quantum technology's key bottlenecks: 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀. At just a few thousandths of a degree above absolute zero, measuring temperature accurately, in real time, and without calibration remains a major unsolved challenge for quantum computing, sensing, and materials research. 𝙈𝙀𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙌 will address this by advancing Coulomb Blockade Thermometer (CBT) technology with scalable, high-resolution readout electronics. As implementation partner, Basel Precision Instruments will coordinate development across all partners, keep the work product-focused, and integrate the advances into a market-ready solution, contributing our expertise in ultra-low noise electronics and quantum hardware throughout. Looking forward to pushing the limits of precision together. 🔬⚛️ #QuantumTechnology #Cryogenics #Thermometry #QuantumComputing #LowTemperaturePhysics #Innosuisse #SNSF #QuantumBridge #BaselPrecisionInstruments #METRIQ #FHNW #EPFL

We are proud to see our 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗠𝗙𝗧𝟮𝟱 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 integrated into Qinu’s innovative table-top dilution refrigerator, a collaboration made possible by the ultra-compact design of the SlimMFT25 series. The SlimMFT25 delivers the most compact and efficient filtering solution available, combining ultra-strong microwave attenuation with powerful electron thermalization. Proven to achieve electron 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗞, it uncovers the physics otherwise masked by elevated electron temperatures and microwave noise. Paired with Qinu’s fast cool-down architecture, this platform enables both rapid system preparation and mK electron temperatures, a versatile building block for next-generation quantum experiments When precision engineering meets cutting-edge quantum hardware, real progress happens. We’re excited to be part of it. 👇 Spot four of our SlimMFT25 units inside Qinu’s refrigerator, providing 100 filtered DC lines #QuantumTechnology #Cryogenics #BadelPrecisionInstruments #Qinu #DeepTech

𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲. 🥂 We came for the cold electrons, and stayed for the conversations. The #Baspi booth was never quiet, and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. From deep dives into 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 to impromptu chats over a beer, #APS2026 reminded us why building instruments for people who truly care about physics is such a privilege. A small Swiss team, a long way from Basel doing what we love: 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘦, 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘴. 🔬 Even the Big Blue Bear wanted in. 🐻 See you in Atlanta! #APSSummit2026 #Baspi #BaselPrecisionInstruments #QuantumPhysics #LowTemperaturePhysics

💡 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 In low-temperature experiments, microwave filters are not an accessory, they are fundamental to making the experiment work. A point stressed by all three Physics Nobel laureates at the 𝗔𝗣𝗦 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 in Denver. At #Baspi, we are proud to carry this legacy forward with modern Ag-epoxy-based 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 and 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗠𝗙𝗧) that suppress microwave noise, lower electron temperatures, and unlock new physics. It was a great pleasure to continue the discussion on the essential role of microwave filtering and thermalization at our booth with Nobel laureate Michel Devoret, pictured here with our CEO Parisa Fallahi.
