What does a decade of deliberate transformation look like? Rechelle Effendy, Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO, took the stage at the SimCorp Global Summit in Copenhagen on the panel, “How Top Firms Are Raising the Bar”, to share BCI's story. She spoke to our deliberate and continuous journey, from growing in-house managed assets from ~57% to ~85% and more than doubling our AUM, to building the finance and operational infrastructure to support that growth and standing up new programs like private credit and debt issuance at pace. The strategic work behind the scenes and the agility of our teams is what helped us grow into one of Canada's largest institutional investors and continues to position us to deliver for our clients and the people they serve. #InvestingThatMatters

Active credit selection has always been a differentiator for BCI — today’s environment is proving why.   Years of exceptional returns drew more capital into private credit, compressing spreads and testing deployment discipline. The market is recalibrating and, with a platform built on flexibility, discipline, and scale, we’re seeing real opportunity.   Daniel Garant, Executive Vice President and Global Head, Capital Markets & Credit Investments, shared this perspective at the Private Debt Investor Tokyo Forum Global LP Keynote, moderated by Alex Lynn.   His view on navigating the private credit landscape:   🔹 Discipline drives results. In a tighter market, rigorous credit underwriting and independent valuation views are what separate good outcomes from poor ones. 🔹 The current environment rewards the right capabilities. For disciplined, long-term investors like BCI, today's market is creating openings. 🔹 Don't buy the beta. When spreads are tight and every basis point matters, owning a slice of the market isn't enough.   Read the PDI article (subscription required) and learn more about BCI’s private credit approach — link in the comments.   #InvestingThatMatters #PrivateCredit #InstitutionalInvesting #PDITokyo

Last week, we hosted JA British Columbia's Community Appreciation Celebration at our Vancouver office and were honoured to be recognized as a Corporate Volunteer Champion — a reflection of the commitment of our employee-led Financial Literacy Committee and the 100+ BCI employees who have volunteered with JABC since 2014. As a global investor, we're proud to support access to education that helps young people build foundational financial skills and explore the possibilities of a career in finance. Congratulations to committee members Alicia Armstrong, Associate Portfolio Manager, Global Equities, and Sarah Dorrington, Principal, Partnership Portfolio, who were also recognized for their leadership. Alicia first discovered the world of finance through a JABC program, and it helped shape the career she has today. We asked her why it matters and how BCI shows up for the next generation. #FinancialLiteracy #Community #InvestingThatMatters
