We are proud to share the continued expansion of our school — a reflection of both growth and purpose. At full capacity, our campus will welcome close to 2,000 students from Nursery to Yr 13, supported by outstanding facilities designed to elevate every aspect of learning and wellbeing. Over 6388.5 metres squared built up area, with our expansion including a dedicated examination hall, a half Olympic-size swimming pool, digital art rooms and ICT Lounge, larger canteen, and multi- purpose laboratories. In response to the current period of uncertainty, ARKS Diyar School recently conducted a Wellbeing Session for staff, organized collaboratively by the Health Unit and Counselling Department. This initiative reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to supporting the mental and emotional wellbeing of all staff members. The session was designed to provide staff with a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and focus on their wellbeing. Through a range of activities; including calming techniques, mindfulness practices, and interactive discussions staff were encouraged to explore simple strategies to help manage stress and maintain balance during challenging times. As a follow-up to the session, staff have been invited to participate in two engagement activities that further promote positivity and connection within the school community. These include sharing a meaningful personal memory through a photo and reflection, as well as sending a “shout-out” message to recognize and appreciate colleagues who have provided support. These initiatives aim to strengthen relationships, encourage appreciation, and foster a sense of unity reinforcing the message that, especially during uncertain times, the school community stands together in support of one another. In our Infant School Arabic lessons, we focus on creating meaningful, play-based experiences that help children connect with the language in joyful and memorable ways. At this age, learning happens best through curiosity, movement, and hands-on exploration. One of our favourite activities this month was introducing the sound ر. To make the learning immersive, we took the activity to the sandpit and hid the letter ر in the sand. The children became excited little explorers, digging and searching to hunt for the sound. It was the perfect real-world connection: ر — رمل! Using sand in our Arabic lessons not only builds sensory engagement but also supports sound recognition, fine motor skills, and confidence in learning new letters. Abdulrahman Kanoo School – Diyar (ARKS) proudly announces the successful completion of the schools Fire and Evacuation Team (FET), with their certification in Basic Life Support. Thirty staff members from both academic and operations departments spent two consecutive weekends undergoing  intensive training, evaluation, and examination. This initiative reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of every member of its community. “Safety is not just a policy—it’s a culture we uphold across our campus,” said ARKEDU CEO Mr. Sunil Raj. “We take great pride in equipping our staff with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations. The newly certified Fire and Evacuation Team represents the first cohort in an ongoing program, with further staff training sessions scheduled in the coming months.
