Earlier this week we wrapped up our 2026 Apprentice Onboarding Program - welcoming nine new electrical apprentices into the VINCI Energies Australia Northeast family.👏🤩 Across the 11-day program, the cohort was immersed in our VINCI Values, Safety Culture, statutory training, and hands-on technical preparation to set them up for success on site.🔧 Because we take a holistic view of developing our people, the program also included nutrition and wellbeing sessions, driver safety and awareness, and financial literacy workshops - giving them the tools to thrive both at work and in life! A Great Day for Omexom in Australia! Celebrating future talent and unexpected honours! 🙌🎖️ What an incredible evening at The Industry School’s Last Roar celebrating the Brisbane campus graduating class of 2025! We were proud to have two of our school-based apprentices, Mackenzie and Luke, graduating – and a huge congratulations to Mackenzie, who not only delivered a thoughtful Year 12 leaders’ address but also took out the Academic Excellence Award! To top it off, JPR was honoured to receive the Large Employer of the Year Award – a complete surprise and an absolute privilege to be recognised.🥰 Our partnership with The Industry School continues to be something we value deeply. Their approach to being “deliberately different” bridges the gap between education and industry, giving high school students the opportunity to pursue a trade while still completing their QCE. This model not only supports students but strengthens the future of our industry by developing skilled, confident, future ready tradespeople from the ground up. Empowering the Future. 🎓 JPR is proud to share that our Actemium Australia brand will be providing three scholarships for female engineering students, commencing in 2026. These scholarships will be administered through the UQ Engineering and Computing Faculty's "Women in Engineering" program, further strengthening our partnership and shared commitment to fostering diversity in engineering. Named in honour of Patricia Richardson OAM, co-founder of J&P Richardson, the 'Patricia Richardson Memorial Scholarship for Women in Engineering' celebrates a true trailblazer whose legacy continues to shape our values today. Pat was a pioneer – assembling switchboards at the kitchen table, raising a family, and supporting employees with unwavering care and dedication. Her belief in the potential of women in industry lives on through this initiative. Pat was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her contributions to industry, employee development, and community service. 🌟 Inspiring the Future of the Industry 🌟   Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending Corinda State High School’s Future Agents Day, where our team helped shine a light on career pathways in the electrical industry.   Two of our incredible first-year female apprentices - one of whom is school-based - sat on the trade panel, sharing their journeys to securing an electrical apprenticeship and what their first year has looked like so far. 🌟 Empowering Future Engineers 🌟   Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting three high school students through our partnership with the The University of Queensland's Women in Engineering program.   Over two immersive days, the year 10 and year 11 students explored the world of electrical engineering and information systems, gaining insights into the diverse operations of our Omexom Australia and Actemium Australia brands. From learning about real-world applications to understanding the different segments we work in; it was a hands-on journey into the heart of engineering.   The experience culminated in a practical challenge where the students put their PLC programming skills to the test – simulating a water treatment facility and seeing their code come to life!   It was fantastic to see the girls so engaged, having a great time, and learning so many new things. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were inspiring!
