Software has changed more in the last 12 months than in the previous decade. So where does SaaS go from here? Is SaaS on the way out, or just changing shape? Is AI replacing software, or just how we build it? And who's actually right? Melbourne's SaaS and AI crowd is getting together to find out. Are you in? Together with Aussie Founders Club, we're hosting SaaSpocalypse. This isn't the usual panel-and-fireside. Expect genuine disagreement, unfiltered takes, and voices from VC, startups, and tech all on one stage. 🗓️ 10 June 2026, 5:30pm to 8:00pm AEST 📍 Cremorne Digital Hub, 80 Balmain St, Cremorne Here's what to expect on the night: 🗣️ Panel discussion: an open conversation with our experts about the future of SaaS, what AI changes, and what doesn't. 💭 Audience Q&A: this isn't a spectator sport. Ask the hard questions, challenge the panel, say what's on your mind. 🥂 Drinks and networking: the conversation doesn't stop when the panel does. Keep it going, share your own take, and meet the people building what's next. Joining us on the panel are two people who've actually built and backed the stuff we're talking about. 🤙🏼 Darius Monsef, multiple-time founder and YC alum who's raised serious capital across his ventures. Alan Jones, partner at M8 Ventures and one of the most direct voices in Australian venture. Two more panellists to be announced soon. Stay tuned 👀 Grab your seat and join the conversation. Register via the link in the comments 👇 We want more voices in the room, especially women. Two panel seats are still open: one for a founder with SaaS in their DNA, one for a VC with a clear view on what comes next. If that's you, drop a comment 👇

At Cremorne Digital Hub, we love seeing founders getting connected with exactly the right person at exactly the right time. As a member of our free [NEXT] Community, Gregory recently sat down with Claire Thompson from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer for a one-on-one legal mentoring session, right after her online session — and that's just one of the things that happens when you're plugged into the right ecosystem. CDH's NEXT community is based in Cremorne, Melbourne — but our members are building across Singapore, the US, the UK, and beyond. Free to join, and here's what being part of it actually gets you: - First access to every event we run — workshops, panels, networking, the lot, before it opens to the public - Priority spots in our VC Deck Breakdown sessions, where founders get real investor feedback on what lands and what doesn't - Priority access to mentoring when spots open up, we match you with practitioners who've actually done the thing - Weekly updates on events and opportunities curated specifically for founders building right now - A seat inside Melbourne's startup ecosystem — and when you're ready, the chance to host your own Lunch & Learn and get in front of the community yourself If you're building something and need support in getting to the next stage, we'd love to be along for the journey! No pitch required. Application via the form below 🫵

Is your pitch deck actually working or are you just hoping it is? Founders spend weeks perfecting a pitch deck. The story feels right, the numbers are in, the design is clean but the moment it lands in a VC's inbox, they go blind. Most founders never get that feedback and without it, every pitch is a shot in the dark. Our Lunch & Learn: VC Deck Breakdown is back and so is Hugh Stephens from Galileo Ventures. Watch Hugh Stephens review a real startup deck live with no briefing, no background, no heads-up on what's inside. An unfiltered first read, with feedback that helps founders know exactly what belongs on their deck. 🗓 Wednesday, 27 May 2026 | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM AEST 📍 Virtual 👉 Check out the comments below to register and secure your spot.

We had an incredible Lunch & Learn this week, and if you missed it, here's your sign to watch the replay. 👀 Claire Thompson from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer joined us to give our community a rundown on the ins and outs of raising a round from a legal perspective. For an hour, she pulled back the curtain on everything founders need to know before they raise. SAFEs, term sheets, shareholders' deeds, preference shares, ESOPs, due diligence. The stuff that can make or break a round, and that nobody really explains clearly until it's too late. There were a ton of great takeaways from the session, so whether you're preparing for your first round or deep in due diligence, this is the hour that could save your deal. Huge thanks to Claire for sharing her expertise with our community. 🙌 🎥 Watch the full session, link in the comments.

Twelve Singapore founders in Melbourne for one night at Cremorne Connect! Singapore has long been one of the world's key innovation hubs, home to the APAC headquarters of many of the world's leading companies, and last night we had a slice of that ecosystem in the room with us. The founders took the floor, pitching their ideas and fielding questions, and we went deep on the industrial tech stack, what it takes to work with Australian financial institutions, where the AU and SG consumer markets align, and plenty more. Then we did what the Melbourne community does best, getting around these founders with introductions, conversation, and the kind of support that lasts well beyond the night. A huge thank you to our partners Haymarket HQ and Enterprise Singapore for bringing this to life. Connecting innovation across borders is no small feat, and you played a pivotal role in making it happen. And to the 12 Singapore companies who took the stage for a one-minute pitch and the rapid-fire questions that followed, you made the night what it was. AIQURIS - A TUV SUD Venture, EarthTrack.io, Eight Vectors, ELLO, Friends & Family Pet Food, iCOMPASS, Invigilo AI, Muuse, Padma.AI Pte Ltd, Spark Systems Pte Ltd, and TalentHero 🙌 Melbourne sees you, the Australian market is watching, and we're keen to keep building together.

The cheapest hour you’ll spend on your raise is the one you spend getting organised before you call a lawyer. We have a Lunch and Learn session: So You Want To Raise happening this Wednesday and we wanted to make sure this didn't slip past you. 🗓️ 13 May 2026 | 12PM - 1PM AEST 📍 Virtual Claire Thompson from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is breaking down the legal side of an early-stage raise. She’ll be speaking about what investors actually look for in your cap table, what founder arrangements need to be locked in before you start conversations, and the common missteps that stall or kill a round. If you're raising — or about to be — this is the session to catch. Register for free (link in the comments)
